CODY'S POV
I was suddenly blinded by two headlights coming straight at me. I quickly ran to the other side of the street. "Sorry" I mouthed to the driver who seemed to understand and shot me an accepting smile. I feel so lost without her, like my life has no purpose. My phone suddenly began to vibrate in my back pocket pulling me out of my thoughts. My thumbs nervously hit reject as the phone told me it was my dad. The unexpected phone call forced me to see the time. Forced me to see the amount of time she's been away from me, how long I've been away from my girl. The evil numbers glared at me from the screen. They read: 1:32am. She's been gone for over 5 hours. My tears begin to descend down my face as I realize I have no idea where I'm going and when I'll find her. But I won't stop till I do. My stomach began to turn as a I realized there was another car approaching. The car seemed faintly familiar. It began to slow down when it got close to me, I began to walk faster not wanting to be caught in the state I'm in. But the voice coming from the inside of the car made me stop in my tracks. It was Emmy's dad. I turned around in rage! How dare he come anywhere near this place? I forced myself forward into the street walking hastily to his side of the car. He quickly rolled down the window as he saw me approaching. "Get the hell out of here" I found myself nearly screaming it in his face. "Well nice to see you too little buddy" he smirked. THe thought this was a game. Well he wasn't about to win. Before I could stop myself, my fist forcefully met his unmanageable face. His nose began to drip blood along with his top lip. I knew he was dangerous, but the look he gave me was nothing of comparison. It made me freeze in my tracks. But I wasn't scared. His glare began to shift to his feet as a realized his plan but it was too late. Before I could get out of the way, the car began to move again, crushing my leg. The pain was something I've never felt before and it made me want her even more. I struggled myself back to the sidewalk. I felt the cold concrete under my head as I stared at the stars. None of them come close to Emmy. My girl. I have to get her back. "Soon" I whispered to the sky.
