The Miranda family was currently driving to the train station.
On the driver's seat was Melissa, ecstatic for her daughter to begin her magical journey at hogwarts. The night before she wanted to help Helena pack her trunk, but the little girl was so indulged in her new book "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" by Newt Scamander, that she ended up packing it for her before sending her to bed.
In the back sat Helena with her father.
"Oh, I'm going to miss you! Who is going to throw flour at mommy with me while she's baking?"
"Well, I guess you'll have to throw flour at me alone darling.", said Melissa smiling, but keeping her eyes on the road.
"I'm going to miss you too, dad!", Helena said, throwing her arms around Carlos, who hugged her right back.
Carlos decided to say goodbye before the girls entered the train station. He didn't even know if he'd pass that weird wall anyway, so he figured getting breakfast for him and his wife was a better thing to do than running against a wall.
"Have fun, pumpkin. But not too much fun... and don't get involved in any trouble.", he said, figuring that's what he was supposed to say as a parent. But he knew that his little angel would be the last one to cause any kind of disturbance.
"I won't dad. I love you!", she said hugging him.
"Love you too, sweetie."
And with that, the girls entered the train station, looking for platform 9¾.
"You just have to run through the wall. I promise you, you'll be fine."
"Oh, yes. It's very easy! My Jane here is also doing it for the first time.", a woman said softly.
As the women introduced themselves to eachother, the girl who Helena figured was Jane introduced herself.
"I'm Jane. What's your name?"
Jane had long blond hair and green eyes. She was wearing a pink dress and seemed to be very nice.
"I'm Helena, it's very nice to meet you!"
"Do you want to run through the wall together?", Jane asked with a smile, holding her hand up. Both let go of her trunks and ran through the wall.
The woman just turned their heads as the girls started running. They grabbed their daughter's trunks, laughing, and went through the wall as well. The girls were looking around, mesmerized by the big train, things flying around, and all the pets sitting on trunks.
The mothers helped the girls with their trunks and soon enough were saying their goodbyes as well.
"You're going to have so much fun and such a great time! It's going to be great sweetie."
"Mom, I think you're more excited than I am.", Helena said laughing.
"Well, I can't help it.", the woman said, looking at her daughter lovingly. "Don't ever forget that you are a very special girl, with or without magic. Always be kind but never..."
"Never let them put you down.", Helena interrupted."I know mom, I love you.", she said hugging her tightly.
"Oh, I love you too, darling.", Melissa says hugging her right back.
When they let go, Jane and Helena head to the train.
"Oh, and don't forget Jane! Be afraid of things!", her mother said.
"Alright, love you too, mom."

"Oh, Helena! Say hi to Professor Sprout for me!", Melissa shouted.
"Will do, mom.",Helena said laughing, wondering who Professor Sprout is.
----------
The two girls decided on sitting together. They were pretty early at the platform, so there were still a bunch of free compartments. They found one and quickly started a conversation, getting to know each other.
"In which house do you think you'll be?", Jane asked.
"My mom told me about the houses, but I don't know a lot about them. She said she was a Hufflepuff though."
"My mom was a gryffindor. She still wears her tie around sometimes."
"Really?"
"Yeah, she also told me about how her favorite subjects were transfiguration and History Of Magic. She's a history Buff."
"I'm quite interested in Care of magical creatures. I really like animals."
"I don't know what I'll like most. But my mom said Charms and Transfiguration seem like subjects I'd enjoy."
"I think I'll need some help with all this magic stuff, I haven't known about it for too long."
"Are you a muggle-born?
"Oh, my mom explained this to me. No, I'm a half-blood. My dad is a muggle."
"That's so cool. Did you grow up with magic?"
"I didn't know magic was a thing 'till a few weeks ago!"
The girls laughed and told each other about the wizarding and muggle world.
----------
After a while, someone knocked on the compartment door before opening it. There were two boys, one had short brown hair and big brown eyes. He wore a beige turtleneck and smiled shyly.
The other boy had vivid red hair and lots of freckles, he was already wearing his robes and was the one to speak."Hello, I'm Percy Weasley. Could we join you? There aren't many compartments left."
"Sure!", the girls said at the same time.
Helena moved to sit next to Jane, so the boys could sit next to each other.
"I'm Oliver Wood. What's your name?"
"I'm Helena Miranda, nice to meet you, Oliver!"
"And what's yours?", he asked Jane.
"Oh, I'm Jane Haniger. Nice to meet you both."
"Nice to meet you!", the boys said.
