Chapter 10

The whole week I pretty much avoided everyone. I didn't even talk to Parker. I pretty much have been in the Astronomy tower all week. Well except for when there was class, then I'd be in the Room of Requirement. It seems like Fred has been doing the same. Several times, going to the Astronomy tower at night, I would find him there. Anytime that I'd find him there I would just turn around before my mind could tell me to go talk to him. I don't even know what I would say to him. I don't even know why I'm upset. I should be showing him that his words didn't hurt but they did.

Anyway, at the moment I am in Divination because Parker and Hermione teamed up against me and dragged me to class, when I was heading to the Room of Requirement. So yeah....I'm trying to keep myself from falling asleep and actually listen to the lesson. Not going very well. Divination is boring at the moment. But Trelawney keeps shouting things so that's the only thing actually keeping me awake.

The bell rings, so I grab my stuff and run out of the classroom before Hermione and Parker decide to drag me to another class or worse the library. I have I think a free period right now but with Hermione and Parker teamed up together, they are unstoppable. I ran all the way to my dorm, accidentally running into people on the way there. I shut the door and plop on my bed, not really caring where my school supplies go.

I hear a slight knock on the door. It's probably either Parker or Draco, so all I do is yell it's open. I hear footsteps coming over the bed.

"They decided they aren't going to go through with it." Draco says with almost a hint of sadness in his voice. My eyes go wide and I look up at him.

"What do you want to do?" I ask, fully expecting him to say that he doesn't want to continue with our relationship. Which I wouldn't be opposed to but I've gotten used to him. 

"I want to be with you if that's what you want." My eyes widened again. I think of the words Fred said to me. I decided I'm not going to let him bother me. Fred has Angelina anyway.

"Of course I want to be with you." He smiles at me but I don't smile back. His smile falls as he sits down beside me.

"Do you want to be with me or are you just saying that so you don't hurt me?" I sit up and face him. I cup his cheek with my hand and pull him into a short kiss. I pull away and rest my forehead against his.

"I want to be with you more than anything. I love and care about you a lot." The words come stumbling out. Not that I don't mean them, I just didn't mean to say them. I didn't think I could love anyone. Especially after... Let alone Draco Malfoy.

"You love me?" He eyes me, studying me to see if I'm lying.

"Yes."

"Prove it."

"Ok, now you are just being an ass. Ruining the moment." I say as I hit him in the shoulder. Draco starts laughing, causing me to smile.

"There's the smile I missed." He cups my cheek with his hand and pulls me a little bit closer to him. I roll my eyes and pull him into a short hug. I pull away and lay back down on the bed.

"Damn it, I owe you ten galleons don't I." I hear Parker say from the doorway.

"Yep." Draco smirks over at her.

"Were you guys betting on me?" I ask, acting like I'm hurt.

"It was Draco's idea." Parker shrugs.

"You both are such great friends, you know that?"

"You know you love us. Me more than her but you love us." Draco says, taking a dig at Parker.

"Actually, Parker comes first." I cut in before Parker gets the chance to say something.
