The following morning found Leena sat on a step outside, watching Kaysen get his arse handed to him by a dark haired woman.

Smirking at the sight she pinpointed the exact moment that he noticed she was there, watching as he groaned and dropped his head against the ground from where he had been knocked on his back. The woman looked over and seemed to smile as she looked down to the man on the ground before pulling him up by his hand.

Kaysen stumbling with the force of it before they walked over, Leena walking down the steps to meet him as the sun shone through the loose strands of white hair around her face.

"Don't you have a meeting to be getting to Lee?" He asked grumpily, receiving a laugh as she raised a brow at him in return.

"I still have ten minutes, it takes me three minutes thirty two seconds, fifty eight if I have to take the long route" she answered watching as the woman blinked in surprise and he scowled. "And it is after all, a lot more interesting to watch you get knocked on your arse" the woman snorted at that and she smiled while turning her head and holding out her hand.

"Hello, I don't believe we've met" the woman took her hand in a firm grasp and shook her hand firmly.

"Coraline Dans, Captain of the Angel and Demon army" she introduced herself, Leena nodding as she pulled her hand away.

"Princess Leena of the Fae kingdom. It's a pleasure to meet you and see someone else with the ability to knock my friend here on his arse" turning to look at the man in question he scowled back before looking at his watch.

"You have seven minutes" he told her, the woman grinning as he clearly attempted to get rid of her.

"Alright, I can tell when I'm not wanted. You still owe me a match though, you backed out of the last one" she teased, turning and heading inside, counting backward in her head to get to the room, waiting before it was exactly the time she had planned to arrive before knocking on the door.

Entering she greeted those already inside before moving to stand against the wall the door was on, arms crossed behind her back as she stared at the ground in front of her feet, mentally recounting everything she had read the night prior.

When the meeting started she stood to the side, watching her father talk with them with her hands folded behind her back.

She had to hand it to the man, when he wanted something and wasn't drunk or high he had a certain charm to him.

It seemed the others had noticed this as well, but it was doing very little to help their case if the clear disgust and hatred they already held for him was any indicator.

"Princess Leena, what is your opinion on this matter?" Regardless of her fathers argument the other royals were all clearly intrigued to hear what she had to say and she straightened her stance before answering with a calm, carrying voice.

"I believe that it would largely benefit all involved, my ancestors were... Less than of sound mind if they truly thought it would benefit anyone to break the alliance, the trades especially. However before continuing I will have to apologise for my lack of dated knowledge, with the trades closing down all information we have about any kingdoms aside from ours is from dates up to three hundred years prior to the trade lines closing" she could see their surprise when she addressed the fact head on, and the appreciation for her bluntness on the matter.

"As far as I'm aware, my kingdom grows some of the only herbs, fruits, vegetables, and the like that are needed for stronger medicines, brews, alcohols, and cures to control generic illnesses. I'm not sure if that has changed recently?" She paused, allowing Queen Adalyn to confirm the fact that it had not.

"Meaning we have properties that will benefit your kingdoms, while you have resources that will benefit mine. Such as access to mines, food we can't access but need for the diets of some of our people. And the ability to tell some of our people their origins" she stopped immediately when she was cut off by Kind Dagen, king of Humans.

"Why is their ancestry so important to you?" She turned her head to look at the pale haired man who stared back with a hardened expression, Leena taking a moment to consider her words before answering.

"Fae culture, Elvish especially, relies a lot on their past to move into their future, we don't like to make the same mistake twice, proud most of us, stubborn perhaps, still we like to know where we come from. Our cultures, religions, they demand we honour those who came before us. Many of us currently can't do that before we don't know where we come from. My personal roots and my sisters are Elven, we don't know who so much as our great grandfathers, grandmothers, even our distant cousins are, it's something I wish to right for my people. To allow them to know who they are. Where they come from. Who their people are, and used to be" her voice hardened toward the end as she spoke of her own roots levelling a glare at her father who scowled back before avoiding her gaze.

"You wish to continue trade lines because you want to know who your family was before now?" Queen Zaria asked almost sceptically, Leena smiling as she looked away before looking back.

"No, I wish to continue trade lines to benefit all of our people, mine and yours alike, to learn of our history benefits my people so I wish to help them achieve a dream many have long since given up on" she told them with a small fond twitch of lips as she thought to the people she was there for.

Her words seemed to have sparked something in the group as they muttered to each other too quiet for the pair stood on the opposite side of the room to hear.

"How old are you, Princess Leena?" Queen Astra asked while leaning forward, the white haired woman meeting her eyes for a moment before shifting them to a space just to the side of her head.

"I'm eighteen ma'am" she could clearly see the shock on their faces at the answer as they looked to each other again.

"I think that might be enough for today, we'll continue this tomorrow" King Vyn concluded, the others all nodding, Leena wishing them all farewell before turning and leaving the room following a low bow.

Hearing her father attempting to catch up though failing to do so due to his apparently still slightly intoxicated steps being slower, while hers were quick, silent, and with long strides that carried her outside and toward the training ground where Kaysen was already waiting for her, holding out a practicing sword silently before the sound of metal meeting metal started to ring out in the otherwise silent space.
