"Did you know you're special?" Esther asked.

Amelia looked up and grinned, "Yes."

"No, I mean before," she corrected. "Your mother was like me, a witch. She was good at what she did and she always said I was better. Her powers run through your veins, Amelia. She asked me to take care of you if anything happened and teach you spells but unfortunately, you can't anymore, neither can the rest of my children."

"So all of the time I've spent with you could've been put to great use," Amelia muttered.

"You can still guide a beginner."

"Only if they tolerate what I am," she stated and Esther nodded. "I better go."

"To see Niklaus?" Esther asked and she lowered her head in embarrassment. "It's fine. You make him... calm."

A blush formed on Amelia's ivory cheeks and she fluttered her eyelashes. She respectfully bowed and left the red-doored shed and quickly went into the woods. Once she was invisible in the trees, she floated, or vamped as Kol called it, across the ground. After a few tries, she made perfect and found the abandoned shelter where she and Niklaus meet.

"I was losing hope that you would come," he said.

"No you weren't," she replied. He gestured for her to take a seat on the mat laid out on the broken floors and she gladly took it, curling her legs to the side.

"Would you like something to drink?"

"Blood?" she asked. "Or wine?"

"Both." They both laughed and she nodded, taking the cup from him and drinking. Their laughter faded into silence as he sat down and they kept their eyes wandering around the room.

"I'm sorry about what happened to your real father," Amelia spoke up. "It was a massacre. I-I wish you could've met him."

"It's not your fault, love, it was Mikael's," Niklaus said and she cringed at the sound of a son calling their father by their first name. "I just want to know: was he the one that killed him?"

"I was the one who caught him," she said truthfully. "But he wanted to enjoy the kill. He enjoyed killing the rest of them too."

"What about you? Did you enjoy it?"

She held her breath and lifted her eyes to meet his blue ones. When she looked away, he already knew the answer. It was hard to say that she didn't like feeling their necks snap, their limbs tear, their blood spill, it was all part of the hunting experience.

"He will die for what he did."

"What?" she asked, confused. She set down her cup and moved closer to him. "You-you can't kill him."

"Yes, I can. For what he did and that witch," he stated harshly and cursed under his breath. He slid his fingers through her hair and pulled her close, their lips almost touching and their air mixing. "I would ask you to join me but I know where your loyalty lies," he said, staring into her eyes, "Sleep here and I will come to get you when they're dead."

All of us sudden, Amelia felt sleepy and before she went down, his soft, pink lips, crashed onto hers. She didn't have the chance to kiss him back as her eyes closed and he set her down.

"Amelia!" a man's voice yelled with rage. "Amelia! Get up!"

As if she resurrected again, she arose from her deep sleep even though she didn't need it. She scrambled to her feet and looked at Mikael who was partially covered in blood. His crazy eyes finally calmed and his heavy breathing slowed down too.

"We have to go. Niklaus has gone mad and my children have turned against me. Their mother... she is dead," he explained. Amelia forced a confused expression, trying to act as if she didn't know. As she followed him out of the shed, he pivoted and looked down at her. "Did Niklaus mention anything?"

She gulped and nodded. "He put me to sleep with his mind tricks."

He lifted her chin so he could stare into her green eyes to say, "You are not in love with Niklaus, you hate him, he is a monster, and you want him to suffer for eternity." When he let go of her, she set into a mood of loathing that made her mad, angry even.

"Amelia!" she heard someone shout. It was Niklaus.

Mikael disappeared into the trees before Niklaus could enter the shed and he panted, looking at her up and down, a smile forming on his face as if he was happy to see her.

"Esther's dead, Mikael has fled. I didn't plan for the rest of the village to burn but now we have a reason to run away and find a new home," he said. She allowed him to take her hand as he said, "Come with me, Amelia."

She squeezed his hand and dug her nails into his palm, continuing to tighten her grasp until his bones broke. He yelped and tore his hand away, stepping back. He looked into her malicious eyes and pursed his lips, knowing her feelings for him had gone.

"You're part wolf and vampire," she spat in disgust. "What kind of an abomination are you, Niklaus?"

His blue eyes glazed with water and he gulped, his breath shaky. "I know this isn't you, love," he said lowly. "This is Mikael. I will try and set you free, break my curse, and kill him too. I promise."

"It won't work," Amelia said. "You're a failure. Everything you touch will rot and so will your plans." Because of that, he vamped out of the shed and she ventured out to her sire.

"You need strength, Amelia," Mikael told her. "There's a village not too far from here where we can feast." She nodded and joined him across the numerous trees.

When Niklaus reached the smoldering homes of their village as the sun slowly rose on the horizon, he saw Rebekah standing by a bonfire. Finn and Kol had disappeared and it was just him, his sister, and Elijah.

"Where's Amelia?" Rebekah asked, her voice seeming as if she were about to cry. "Nik? You said you went to get her."

"She's gone," he answered. "Her soul too. Raptured by Mikael." He heard her begin to sob as Elijah appeared, confirming that everyone was dead.

"We're the last ones," she said. "We must stick together, always and forever."

"Always and forever," they replied.
