The month of April was flying by. I spent a lot of time with my friends- as we were all going to be going separate ways.

We also had finals coming up in the first weeks of May. There wasn't nearly as much pressure on us though for that as there was in the Winter. We all were going to University.

The only one in question was Carrington. Carrington was still pregnant. She was now around 2 months along- and she did wind up telling Saul. He was freaked out, she said, but they decided they would figure it out together.

She was going to keep her pregnancy a secret until she graduated, she decided.

I was having one issue. Adderall. I was having trouble completely stopping it, as I liked how it made me feel.

In the last week of April, I was taking a pill in the bedroom and I thought everyone was sleeping. It was early morning.

But Samantha was awake.

"Natasha, do you feel okay?" I heard her say softly, sitting up.

I was startled. "I just have a headache, that's all," I responded.

"Come walk with me," Samantha said, getting up. I followed her out of the room and into the bathroom.

She leaned against a sink. "So you have a headache?" she looked at me.

"You say it like you don't believe me," I responded back.

"I don't, Natasha," she said, looking down.

"Why is that?"

"Because I've seen you take the same pill two other mornings in the past week. I'm a light sleeper, anything wakes me up. So I've seen you. You don't have to tell me what it is that you're taking...but it worries me." Samantha said.

"It's Adderall." I said, "Carolina has been giving it to me. At first, it was just to help my school work because my grades were suffering. But now...it makes me feel more focused. I feel better when I take it."

Samantha looked at me, "Have you ever considered that you might need medication, Natasha? I know you have trouble focusing and always have. And it's caused you problems. You could get the medicine from a Doctor, at the proper dose for you."

"Try telling my parents this." I said, "They don't believe in taking medicine for anything that isn't a physical illness. When I was very depressed, they refused."

Samantha sighed, "So we should try to get you to a Doctor without them knowing. Let me see what I can do. I just want you to be safe, is all."

"Thank you." I smiled at Samantha, "I appreciate you."

That coming Saturday was May 1st.

The day that would change everything.

It started off as a normal day, I got breakfast with Samantha and Carrington, and the rest of the day I decided to study for my finals. They were coming up very soon- my graduation was in exactly 2 weeks- May 14th. I would be done at Crossroads.

I was walking back from the library that night- it was 8 PM and had just gotten dark out.

"Natasha, hey! Wait up!" I heard a voice say.

I turned to see Carolina running toward me.

"Hi, Carolina. What's going on?" I asked, falling into step with her.

"Come with me to my room. I have a bag of Adderall I can give to you for the remainder of the school year if you want," she said.

"Okay." I nodded, "You lead the way. This will be the last bag I ever need."
