I ran down the steps of the train and into Blaze's arms.

She picked me up and spun me around.

When she put me down, she kissed me.

"I love you." I said to her.

"Well, I love you too, Natasha." she chuckled, like she wasn't expecting to say that.

We walked back to the dorms together in the cold, huddled up next to each other.

When we got to our hall, Blaze said, "You're sleeping in my room tonight."

"I am?" I asked her.

"Yes. I paid Talia to go sleep somewhere else tonight."

"You paid her?" I laughed.

"50 dollars."

"And where did she go?"

"Beats me." Blaze shrugged, "I wanted the night with you. Just us."

I smiled at Blaze, "I appreciate that."

We went into Blaze's room, which was a carbon copy of mine.

The both of us changed into our pajamas, and cuddled up on her bed. It was a tight squeeze, but we managed.

"Now, tell me about your night." Blaze said to me.

"I told my parents about us." I said, still reeling from the evening.

Blaze looked at me, her blue eyes wide. "You actually did it."

"Did you not think I would?"

"No, I knew you would. But...I'm just nervous to hear how they reacted." Blaze sighed.

So I told her. I told her about how my mother was extremely angry...but my father was allowing it, and that was the final word in my house.

"I guess it is a start." Blaze said, "Thank you...for doing all of this for me."

"Doing what?" I asked her.

"Risking your relationship with your parents. Even more than before."

"I would do it a million times over for you," I said, turning to look at Blaze.

"I can't believe this time last year I thought I hated you," Blaze said to me.

I couldn't help but laugh. "We've come a long way," I said.

"I think part of me always knew this would happen." Blaze smiled at me, "Around this time last year as well I did drunkenly confess that I thought you were the hottest girl at school."

"And I thought you were completely fucking with me."

"I clearly wasn't." Blaze smiled and rolled her eyes.

"What made you kiss me the night that we...hooked up when you got expelled?" I asked her.

Blaze looked thoughtful. "It was a mix of things. Wanting you- which I had suppressed for a long time. As well as fear that I would never get to act on those feelings. I had to act on them, or I would have regretted it for the rest of my life."

"I would have wondered 'what if' for the rest of mine." I said, "I am so lucky that I now don't have to. Thank you for aggressively kissing me like you hated me and loved me at the same time that night." I chuckled.

Blaze smiled at me. "Marry me," she said.

"What?" I asked her.

I was not expecting those words to come out of her mouth, at all.

"You heard me." she said, "And I don't mean like, tomorrow. And I'll get you a proper ring. But Natasha, I want to marry you. Consider this me asking you. My promise to you."

"Of course, I'll marry you, Blaze." I said to her, "You are my soulmate. Even when our souls were seemingly at war, you were always meant to be with me."

Blaze smiled at me and then kissed me.

And just like the first time we kissed- I saw stars.

My mind wandered to the first day at Crossroads when Blaze walked in and I was met with pure hatred.

And now her heart had softened, and mine did for her as well.

We had come a long way, Blaze and I.

And this was just the beginning.

End.
