The excuse (season 2)

Part 9

The day passed easily and now you're in bed with Namjoon playing with your hair.

"Joon, why did you arrange this brunch all of sudden?" You asked him.

"It was not a sudden baby. I told my parents a long time ago. They're going to my hometown now, so they wanted to see you before they go" he replied.

"Is it?" You mumbled.

Namjoon sat up straight as he sensed your words. He felt something different cause you always sound so confident and sure.

"Y/n, don't you want to meet them tomorrow?" He asked you.

"No, no Joon. It's nothing like that" you shook your head.

"By any chance, are you nervous?" He held your cheek.

"Not at all," you laughed.

He furrowed his brows while looking at you.

"Maybe Yes?" You said as if you were questioning it.

Namjoon smiled looking at your state. He felt you were cute, worrying about a small thing.

"Y/n ah, it's alright. It is common to feel like that. Don't worry, I'm with you" he held your hand, squeezing it.

"I won't disappoint them right?" You asked him.

"Why would you? Besides they know you already and just to put you at ease, I called your brother too" he replied.

"Really? But Jun woo didn't tell me" you pouted.

"He must've thought about surprising you. To make it like a family brunch, I called him too" Joon said.

You nodded looking down. The term family implies your father, mother and siblings if any. But now, you have a brother only. As you never experienced the feel of family, you never missed it. But when Namjoon mentioned his parents, you felt alone and sad.

"Baby, my parents are also your parents. So don't ever feel like that" Namjoon spoke out

You didn't even mention what you felt yet he sensed your feelings. You looked at him with all the love you have and hugged him tight.

"Thank you" you mumbled.

"I love you" he replied, pecking your forehead.

"I love you too. Words can never describe my love for you Namjoon" you broke the hug and looked at him.

"You're giving me a family now. The one I always wished to have. I can't be more thankful to you" you smiled.

"Enough. You'll get emotional again. Let's go to sleep" he giggled.

He pulled you closer as he covered you both with sheets. He gave you a goodnight kiss as you both slept peacefully.

The plan was changed to dinner and you felt more relieved. But the time passed so soon and it's dinner time now. You got ready while Namjoon was still taking a good bath. He was not at all tense as it's his parents but you felt like you're gonna pass out anytime soon. Yes you got prepared mentally but yet you felt so anxious. Meeting your fiance's parents isn't a small thing to any girl. You need to impress them cause maybe you would be staying with them in future. It's not like you and Namjoon would definitely live in separate houses from his parents.

You walked into the kitchen and drank some juice after placing a glass of juice on the table from Namjoon. You gulped all the juice in one go and you felt like drinking more.
