The excuse (season 2)

Part 6

The weekend has finally arrived. It's the company dinner that the Hybe hosted for the Bangtan boys before they parted their ways. Everyone can bring their date or friend but not more than one.

The boys dressed in casuals and of course they looked hot. Jin and Yoongi brought their wives, Hoseok brought his fiancee, Taehyung brought Soojin, Jimin and Jungkook linked their arms while entering which presented them as a couple, gaining cheers and laughs from all the staff.

And finally, it was Namjoon who entered with you. All the eyes were on you and Namjoon who looked so lovely.

Is she the one he talked about?

Did she return for real ?

Isn't she the daughter of Mr. Lee? Of Lee corporations.

Her father caused a scene for her... how can she come back?

Whispers were heard in the hall but you couldn't care less. Namjoon cleared his throat before speaking.

"She's my girlfriend Lee y/n. We've been dating for 6 years" he said and you bowed to everyone.

Everyone clapped their hands with confused and shocked faces. You both made your way to sit with the boys.

"Did you ever ask me out?" You questioned him.

All the boys giggled hearing you.

"Did you ever act as if we are just friends?" Joon questioned you back which made you calm as you rolled your eyes.

"But you should ask her officially," Jin commented.

"Stop taking her side hyung, I will" Namjoon bowed to his hyung sarcastically.

"Don't expect me to accept you Kim Namjoon?" you huffed.

"Let's see how you'll not" Namjoon smirked.

The speeches went on as staff told how good the boys were and how happy they were to work with the boys. The boys listened to them while having small talks here and there. At last, the speeches ended and it was now the turn for the boys to say some words.

All the boys gathered on the stage and said some words one by one. As they ended, all the 7 of them gave everyone a full bow, thanking them for their hard work. All the audience stood up clapping for the boys.

The sentimental speeches ended and they all made a toast for dinner.

As it was the buffet, everyone made their way to the food one by one. You went when the crowd over the buffet reduced. You helped yourself with the food until you bumped into someone, who's coming from the opposite side.

"Sorry" you bowed and looked at the person.

It's your brother, Lee Jun woo.

"It's fine" he bowed back and left with his plate.

So, this is how he wants to be. Alright then.

You made your way back to Namjoon and sat beside him.

"Did he talk to you?" Joon asked you.

He observed you bumping into your brother.

"No" you shook your head looking down.

Namjoon placed his hand on yours and squeezed it. You looked up at him and saw where he's looking. You turned around and saw Jun woo.

"Kim Namjoon shi, if you don't mind, can I have a word with your girlfriend?" Jun woo asked Namjoon with all the due respect but it seemed as a mock to you.
