Why?: Unohana can feel a kinship with Kazaki that most others would never understand. Kazaki's desire to repent for his warmongering ways, in a sense, is shared by Unohana. Unohana, too, has a war-lust streak, yet being in the fourth division and saving lives helps to root that dream of repenting. Kazaki entered the eleventh division, still falling upon his double edge sword of violence and thus would see a distant light from the Captain of Squad Four that Kazaki would most likely never obtain. Which is why this pair would gravitate towards each other like no other.

Kazaki's hidden compassion, however, is also a positive factor in their relationship. Although, Kazaki would most likely deny it, his soft spot would be easy for Unohana to see since she is more observant than she may appear.

Unohana is also, the only one most capable of dealing with Kazaki's rough attitude. Being as how he often becomes antsy and dangerous when bored for too long, Unohana's famous friendly-yet-somehow-lethal aura would be the only thing powerful enough to quell his dangerous rages. Unohana does that to people.

Kazaki's drinking and pranks however may be where Unohana feels most vulnerable. Kazaki's "playful" side might be a bit much for Unohana to handle, and in which case, being Squad Four's Taichou, she may have to keep a closer eye on him to make sure he does not do too much damage.

Questions and Answers:

1)      Q: How did they meet?

A: Through Yachiru. Unohana has been known to have peaceful meetings with other vice captains. Yachiru often comes by these meetings for a snack, and abruptly leaves. One time this had happened, Yachiru thought best to bring Kazaki along, to show him the delicious snacks. Secretly hoping the next time he spoils her, Kazaki would give Yachiru these flowers to snack on. Kazaki was awful in these formal sittings and so wanted to leave immediately. However, when Unohana... "Insisted" he stay, Kazaki actually found himself intimidated and stayed for the duration of the gathering.

2)      Q: What is her thoughts on him?

A: Unohana sees the rage and blood lust that haunts Kazaki's eyes. She knows that Kazaki hates that about himself, but thankfully Unohana also knows he really cannot help himself.  Unohana admires that he is trying to better himself and wants to help him in any way she can, seeing as how she was in this same situation herself.

3)      Q: What were their first thoughts of each other?

A: Unohana was quite surprised to see someone as large and volatile looking as Kenpachi to join her group of growing the edible raiti lotus's. However, with a smile she dispelled her shock and handed him a flower pot, ignoring his minor protests. Kazaki on the other hand found Captain Unohana to be a lot more dangerous than she appeared, especially when she merely smiled at him and could feel the intimidation shoot down his spine. He reminded himself to be cautious around this woman, thinking it was Kenpachi in disguise.

4)      Q: How do they get along?

A: They actually squabble a bit, more on Kazaki's end, however. When Kazaki isn't trying to get Unohana's goat, they spar. However, no one else is aware of this, in need to keep Unohana's secret as the first Kenpachi a secret. This sparring would be the main reason for Kazaki's speed and intelligence to rise so high. One has to be on their best in order to take on Captain Unohana, after all. They agree on a lot of issues that need to be handled as well, just because one is crass and the other seemingly mature does not mean their values are different, just the way they handle them.

5)      Q: Who else might like him as a potential match?

A: I would have to say either Rangiku or even Isane. Rangiku's, however, would be based purely on a physical attraction which is why I dispelled that one. Isane's is more of a confidence issue. Seeing as how Kazaki has such an overabundance of self-confidence, Isane would look up to him. Also, Isane is a rather tall girl and would find 4th seat Kazaki to be a very suitable partner.

6)      Q: What is the sex like?

A: Well, then, you know, often what happens behind closed doors stays there. However, that doesn't work when the doors come off, does it? Unohana, deep down, is still full of raw stamina... mixed with Kazaki's stamina I often imagine that Squad Four is pretty terrified to bring up what they heard last night. Often, the sex would be passionate and heavy. They would not stay in one place for long. However, Kazaki still treats her easier than he normally would treat other woman, because despite the fact she can handle it, to Kazaki, Unohana still looks a bit fragile and his mind just can't ignore that.

7)      Q: How does she handle his drinking?

A: Unohana is actually worried about the drinking. Not because his drinking could harm his body but rather the trouble he gets into. If his pranks carry too far, Captain Kenpachi or Head Captain Yamamoto could act, seeing as how Kazaki's past is against him a bit.  At that point Unohana won't be able to do much for him, thus she is nervous whenever he gets too drunk and she has actually started to lecture him on it.

8)      Q: What was their first kiss like?

A: Their first kiss was more of a spur of the moment more than anything else. Kazaki might be bold and confident but because of his rough behavior I'm sure the finer points of romantic etiquette elude him. He was telling Rangiku of this weird feeling he gets whenever he is around Captain Unohana and Rangiku was ecstatic, telling him that it was love and such. She tried her best to explain what he should do but it was all lost in translation. Kazaki had gone to Captain Unohana who was in her office in the Squad Four barracks and ended up just saying "I love you." And had kissed her, there. He wasn't an expert or anything, but Unohana knew that it must be knew to him and so she had gone with the flow but pinched his side when her vice-captain came in. Isane had entered the office with Unohana smiling at her asking what she needed and Kazaki crouching down in the corner looking as if he'd been K.O.'d.

9)      Q: What do they do in their free time?

A: I kind of ran number 4 in this one however, besides the sparring they often are found merely walking around. Seeing as how, they really do enjoy each other's company, but keep in mind, Captain Unohana is a Captain after all and is frequently busy. When they find time they really just wish to be around each other.

10)  Q:  Does she train with him?

A: Yes, that's a usual for them, given as how they both love battle. Unohana's skill helps to sharpen Kazaki's so it's a decent balance they have with one another.
