Why: Kokoe's anti-social personality is hardly able to deter Juushiro. Seeing as how his over friendly personality is enough for the both of them. Juushiro is a very perceptive man, often times, and seeing traits in others that people may not see in themselves. So when Kokoe aids people "for the sake of science" Juushiro is well aware that she is merely helping them because she wants to yet won't broach the subject, knowing that Kokoe would become fluster and quite possibly even more distant than she is now out of embarrassment of being caught. Despite appearing self-centered and only caring about her own interests, Juushiro is aware of her emotional side, her robots that resemble Suzu is enough to give Juushiro insight on this matter.

Juushiro loves this about Kokoe, her strive to maintain a frigid appearance only makes Juushiro want to be by her side even more, seeing as how he also knows her less frigid-self that had been most likely been buried deep beneath the surface after the loss of her parents and the addition of the loss of her beloved brother. Kokoe would find herself able to tell Juushiro her thoughts, despite her usual front. Finding Juushiro very easy to confide in.

Thankfully, Juushiro isn't one to talk too much or too little, either, always able to make light and insightful conversation, even if it's merely a friendly chat. He does not have a superior intelligence like those within the Squad 12 yet he makes up what he lacks with common sense and knowledge acquired through reading and age. He often meets with Kokoe for tea, and of course brings sweets, never being on short supply. Kokoe, despite her objections, saying "she has work to do." would find these occasionally chats quite enjoyable and looks forward to them.

Questions and Answers:

1)      Q: How did they meet?

A: With Juushiro being a captain and Kokoe only a fourth seat, especially from squads 12 and 13, one would think they would never have the opportunity to meet. However, when the bount had attacked the Seireitei, many things had changed. Such as the Captains of Squad 13 and Squad 8 heading into the old archives to find any possible leads of the Bounts creation and any possible reasons for their infiltration in the Seireitei. Captain Mayuri had already headed out to get some "In Field" research on the Bounts, but was well aware of Kokoe's map out on the Archives and sent Kokoe to the Archives to dig up any extra Intel Squad Eleven may be able to use. Kokoe would have rather worked within the lab but she had her orders. With much distaste she left for the Back Archives, recalling that she had heard the term Bount quite a while back while working with Head Captain Ukitake. She wasn't there for the project itself since it was such a top priority of secrecy. However, she knew where the information on the Bounts were kept, being that she was within the squad at the time it had occurred, Upon heading for the Back Archives, Kokoe noticed the Captains of Squad 13 and 8 in the East Central Archives. She had gone over to ask what they were doing here while the Bounts were attacking the Seireitei, her words coming out accusingly. Juushiro simply smiled and explained they were trying to search for information to aid their fight against the Bount, the same reason Kokoe was here. So Kokoe had offered to show them where the information would most likely be, because "It would go by faster with three people to search for it." However, when she averted her gaze slightly, Juushiro had realized that she was merely helping them out but decided not to mention it since she clearly didn't want to be revealed in any way.

2)      Q: What is his thoughts on her?

A: Juushiro finds Kokoe to be very guarded. Her rude and frigid behavior merely exists to keep people away from her, not that she wants to be alone but more because she is subconsciously afraid of loss. Juushiro thinks this side of her is actually adorable as this behavior is very easy for him to see through. Even though Kokoe is unaware of it herself and is also unaware that Juushiro is able to see into her heart and motives more easily than she can.
