Kagome is decisively a perceptive girl, able to see through Sumi's "cool" demeanor. Kagome is aware of Sumi's love to have fun, also her love for children and animals is shared with her. Not only that, Kagome finds it a pleasant change of pace that there is someone other than herself who has a love for demons, half-demons, and humans, all alike.  

Kagome is from an unfamiliar place, and Sumi knows that must make her feel a bit uncomfortable with what's going on around her, as any normal person should feel being thrown into such a predicament. Since, Sumi understands this, they are able to communicate well, to talk with one another, without the scorn or petty arguments breaking out.

Kagome and Sumi are often able to watch the sunsets together, something they both take time to relax and break away from the world of demons and strife, this is actually more monuments than it sounds, for it's the time, away from everyone else, where they are able to share and be there selves. Sumi sometimes uses this time to be a guide for Kagome and her powers, listen to Kagome's stories of the future, or even stories of Sumi's adventures, however, sometimes they do nothing but talk amongst themselves.

Questions and Answers:

1.) Q: How did they meet?

A: Kagome, Inuyasha, and there usual gang, collecting jewel shards. As any meeting takes place, after all. Kagome, Sango, and Shippo had separated from the boys in order to bath in a nearby spring when a sudden whisper was hear through the trees, then a rustle from the edge of the brush, until a beautiful young woman stepped out, in her very skin. The girls were obviously nervous to see a complete stranger approach them so easily, however, the woman paid them no mind as she sat in the spring as well, bathing herself. The three looked at each other, shocked. Kagome felt a very familiar air around the young woman and decided to speak to her. This is when the girl seemed shocked, when Kagome asked her name, she had simply replied "I am Lady Katsumi..." and continued to bathe herself. Later on that night, Katsumi was offered a place to rest with them and she had complied.

2.) Q: What was their first impressions of each other?

A:  Kagome's first impression of Katsumi was that, well, she reminded her a lot of Kikyo but that harshness wasn't apparent in her eyes. She seemed far more approachable. Katsumi thought Kagome was an airhead for conversing with a complete stranger and can't help but admire her of the naivety she holds.

 3.) Q: What happened to change their thoughts on each other?

A: It was whilst Kagome was standing up to Naraku, Katsumi had never really gotten involved in the entire Jewel Shard business but apparently Naraku had a grudge on all priestesses, equally. Far be it from Katsumi to know why, however, she was captured, nonetheless. Surprisingly, Inuyasha and his friends had come to save her but Kagome was the one to seriously take him on, her bow aimed directly at his head. Katsumi had to smile to herself as the arrow flew for Naraku, narrowing her eyes on the arrow, she added her own purity to it... Naraku's puppet was in a lot of pain before it splintered....

 4.) Q: Now what do they think of each other?

A: Katsumi still thinks Kagome is an airhead for challenging Naraku so openly but she can also see the bravery and courage deep within her heart, the strong resolution that sets her apart from the other people she had ever known. Kagome finds Katsumi to be even kinder than she had initially thought, treating the wounds of everyone on her team while barely knowing them. Also, Kagome could see her strength, her powers were absolutely incredible.

 5.) Q: What their first kiss like?

A: Their first kiss was really more of a one-sided kiss, yet it was pleasant. They were watching the sun set over the horizon as their team had started to doze off to sleep. Katsumi was listening intently as Kagome told her stories of the future that she was from, she was so interested in this "future" wondering what it was like. However, soon it grew quiet and Sumi had realized that Kagome had fallen asleep on her shoulder, and an odd feeling washed over Katsumi. Without really thinking about it, Sumi had leaned down and pressed her lips against Kagome's, the soft flesh of her lips felt pleasantly cool and tasted quite sweet. Pulling back, Katsumi had smiled and laid her head on top of Kagome's drifting off, as well.

 6.) Q: What are the complications in the relationship?

A: The fact that they are both girls is actually quite an issue, back in feudal japan, even though homosexuality is common, it was still rather frowned upon. Kagome's group obviously did not care, thinking it was a "future" thing, however, most others were not as accepting, Koga, for one, had real issues with it. 

7.) Q: Do you see marriage or children?

A: Well, no, no I don't. They have a future, they will most likely always be with each other, each being a major part of each other's lives, but no sanctuary will grant them union. As for children, unless voodoo magic is involved, which Katsumi, being a priestess, would never allow, there could be no such thing.

8.) Q: What does her match think of her being a priestess?

A: Kagome finds it a bit relieving, because so far, with the exception of Lady Kaede, the priestess she has met has either turned out to be evil, or filled with rage. Kagome is actually able to rely on Katsumi to help train her as they travel.

9.) Q: Does her match travel with her or do they split apart sometimes if so why?

A: They often travel together, however, Katsumi does sometimes up an leave needing space, which the others understand. Then again, Katsumi always shows up when she's needed most, almost as if when she leaves, she sticks to the shadows, watching over Kagome for when she may need her. Like a guardian angel.

10.) Q: Other potential matches or match and why?

A: Inuyasha was an option however, that was too much canon for me, seeing as how close she was to Kikyo I didn't want to make a "Typical" Ship. There was also Koga but they didn't have too much in common. So I thought for a long time and realized that Kagome would be a terrific match (That also made me realize Kagome and Kikyo could work out too, but let's not go there.)
