Ashton Irwin: The Werewolf Next Door

Chapter 10: Big News

You were waiting inside sitting on the couch curled up in the blanket Michael had cover you and Ash up with the previous night. When the boys sweaty from their run came in it startled you as you had drifted off to sleep a little.

M: Uhm Ash Mate I think we're a bit late, your girl looks like she's been asleep.

A: Oh gosh, Danny I'm so sorry.

D: *rubs eyes slightly* Oh, no, don't worry about it... I was just laying here so warm, I guess I drifted off, I have a tendency to do that sometimes. I get sleepy when I get warm.

C: I'm gonna go get changed and I'll be back out.

L: Me too, I think I need a shower.

M: Hey Ash, how many bathrooms does this place have?

D: It has two, one in the master bedroom and one down the hall.

A: How many times have you been in this house?

D: A few my little sister was friends with the annoying little brat that used to live here.

A: Ah I see.

D: So what do you have planned for the day?

A: Nothing yet I thought maybe we could get the guys out and show them around town a little I know there isn't much to show but still.

D: Yeah you're right about that, but it does sound like a pretty good idea.

M: Finally I can take a shower, Ash mate I'm using your shower.

Luke walks out of the bathroom and Michael walks in...

L: So what's on the agenda for today guys?

A: Well Danny and I were just talking about taking you guys out to see the town, what little of it there is.

L: Oh that sounds cool *nods*

A: Uhm Luke, you having a bit of an issue mate?

Ashton looked at him like there was a serious problem, like he was showing off something that Ashton didn't want you to know, but you didn't see anything wrong.

L: *confused* huh?

A: *smiled baring his teeth* You know what I'm talking about.

L: Oh sorry, Luke licked at his teeth like there was something in them.

A:oh god I hope Danny didn't see Luke's fangs, he walks right in here smiling a grand smile with his fangs drawn as long as can be what am I gonna do with him? I know he's just a pup but still a few more mistakes like that and we could be exposed.

Just then Calum comes out of the shower, and into the living room.

A: Cal...Mate... can you please put your clothes on before you come into a room? There is a lady present.

D: Ash it's fine, I don't really mind, it's just a shirt. *giggling*

C: Yeah mate it's just a shirt, but yeah I'll put it on before I come out next time.

A: Thank you.

When Mikey finally came out of the bathroom, everyone was ready to go and just as you all piled into the car, Ashton got a phone call...

(U is the unknown number in the phone call, the caller will be named U until his/her name comes up later on in the story...)

A: Hello?

U: Hello Mr. Irwin, there is something I'd like to discuss with you, come down to the waterpark parking lot and bring whoever you have with you, trust me I know there are five of you be there in five minutes I'll be waiting.

A: Uhm who is this and how did you get this number?

U: That is for me to know and you to never find out now please, you are running out of time.

A: And what happens if I don't come there?

U: Well let's just say that your little girlfriend won't have a family to come home to.

A: I'll be there. *hangs up the phone*

C: Ash mate who was that?

A: I have no idea but we have to get to the waterpark parking lot in five minutes.

M: Why? Why would you listen to someone you don't even know?

A: Because they made a threat, that I would not like to talk about right now.

 Ashton put the pedal to the medal as he tried his best to make a fifteen minute drive in five. When you got to the waterpark, you saw a black van waiting, some one got out wearing all black and had a hood on so you couldn't see his/her face.  You found out it was a man when he began to speak he ordered everyone out of the car and had all of you get down on your knees. All of you but Ashton. When he walked up to you, he placed a finger under your chin and lifted your head to look at, he had on a mask because you couldn't see his face.

U: Ahhh, what a beautiful girl you have here Mr. Irwin, Such a pretty face.

A: You lay a hand on her and I swear...

U: What you'll kill me? And risk revealing your little secret? I bet she doesn't even know does she? I'd bet that you haven't told her, and why because you're afraid she'll run away? afraid she'll turn you over for examining? Do you know just how dangerous your little boyfriend and his friends are my dear?

A: Leave her alone! No she doesn't know, and none of those are the reason, if you think you know me so damn well then you would know why I haven't told her yet, I am just waiting for the right time.

D: They are not dangerous, they are just four sweet boys from Australia who just so happen to be great musicians.

U: Oh my sweet flower you have no idea...Why don't you go ahead and tell her Ashton? Tell her the monster you are...or better yet, show her!

As he said those words he took you into his arms a thin, cold, silver, blade pressed to your throat. Ashton you noticed was trembling with anger but you herd a growl come from behind you, just as soon as you heard it, the knife blade pressed deeper into your skin and you felt the little trickle of blood run down. A wolf stood directly in front of you, in between you and Ashton who was still shaking. Growls and warning barks rippled from its throat as if it was telling him to let you go. When the wolf took a step toward you he let you go and took off running towards his van.

A: Danny, are you okay?

He was kneeling beside you as you had fallen back to your knees clutching the small cut on your throat, the wolf was gone when you looked up and realized that it was Ashton who was next to you, you let him hold you close and check the wound. You sent hi toppling backward when you remembered that the boys had been right behind you when it happened, you had jumped up and whirled around to see them now sitting on the ground still in shock.

D: Cal, Mikey, Luke, are you guys okay?

C: Are we okay? Yeah Are you okay?

D: Yeah I'm alright.

All of you got back into the car and drove around town almost afraid to go home. You didn't say anything about the wolf hoping that it wasn't but afraid that it was just a figure of your imagination. When you got home, you went in to the living room and sat down.

A: Danny I guess now is going to be the best time to tell you this, even though I wanted to wait a while...*he sighs*

D: Tell me what? The secret you were talking about the first day?

A: Unfortunately yes, you see Danny, we aren't just four Australian boys, we are also very dangerous animals...
