And all I can taste is this moment,
And all I can breathe is your life.
When sooner or later it's over,
I just don't wanna miss you tonight.

************************************************

It's been almost five years since I've seen Andy; yeah, he's been home to see his parents and all, but it's not like I had to avoid him. "Out of sight, out of mind" as they say.

Eventually, the 'bright lights of Hollywood' bug bit me too and I moved out there; but that's about as far as those lights shown for me though.
I am currently a page for a lawyers office and I share an apartment with a girl I met when I moved here.
Her name is Liv and, I believe, her current boy-toy's name is C.C.; I don't know what their current status is, ('cause I don't keep up with it) but they're funny together, so there you go.

One night I came in from work and she was hogging the bathroom, getting ready, "Hey Liv, what are you getting dolled up for?"

"We're going to see C.C.'s band play tonight!"

"Shit, I forgot.", I grumbled.

"Hurry up and get ready! There's a perfect outfit laying on your bed."

Our tastes are slightly different, but not by much; her idea of a 'perfect outfit' was black leather pants, high heels, and a black bustier with halter ties.

We arrived late and the band was already on stage, we pushed our way through the crowd to a good spot to see. When I looked up my heart not only skipped a beat, it nearly jumped out of my chest.
It was Andy, doing what he loved; he finally got what he wanted and I was so happy for him.

Afterwards, I followed Liv backstage, C.C. greeted us and began the introductions.
"Andy!", I interrupted and he looked at me stupidly, not knowing who I was. My stoic nerves betrayed me as I shuddered slightly... I had been completely forgotten.
"Casey?", I questioned, hoping for some recollection.

It took a second before it registered, then I was picked up and spun around, "Casey! My God, I didn't recognize you! What are you doing here?"

"I moved here a few years ago.", I answered as he set me down.

"Guys, this is Casey, one of my best friends from home!"

"It's nice to finally meet you Casey.", the one named Ashley spoke up, eyeing me strangely.

Andy ushered me over to a couch and sat down facing me; we talked until it was time to leave, then carried on back as C.C.'s apartment.
It was the first time I held his undivided attention, and all the feelings I thought I banished long ago came rushing back.
