I Remember You

It's been a heavy downpour of rain all day and Liv and I have been camped out on the couch watching tv. she stopped on a music channel saying there was a debut she wanted to see.

I watched placidly until the bands name was said; I groaned and tried to get up, but Liv wouldn't let me leave. I laid my head back on the couch, closed my eyes and tried to ignore it.

The interviewer started his spiel... "We caught up with Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack recently to ask him about this new song."

"So, Andy, what made you decide to record another remake after all these years?"

"Well, the song has always been my best friends favorite and it wasn't until recently that I realized how much they meant to me."

"How did that come about?", the man questioned.

"I've spent a lot of time lately thinking about my past and I noticed what a big part of it they were."

"Wow! Is it anyone we know about?", he hinted for a name.

"No, but they know who they are", he finished looking into the camera with a smile.

"Alright, well without further delay, here you go BVB fans... It's 'I Remember You'."

I smiled, the puddles in my eyes were about to overflow when Liv turned the tv off.
Through the rain outside, I heard the same chords again; I went to the window and peered out.
There stood Andy, soaking wet and strumming a guitar.

I ran out to him, he took my face in his hands and before he kissed me, he looked into my eyes and uttered three simple words...
"I remember you."
