sorry to the elysian readers I'm having a writer's block so here's this ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧
Beomgyu was irritated. His ears twitched with discomfort and his tail swayed with alertness. The male held onto a red plastic cup and leaned against the wall as he watched his friends play games together.
He was supposed to be alone with Taehyun right now, not entertaining their entire friend group.
"That's my hotel! Pay up!" Sunwoo exclaimed and Yeonjun grumbled, picking out his monopoly cash and giving the money to his friend.
It wasn't that Beomgyu disliked being with his friends, they made him comfortable enough to not have to hide his cat features. He was just irked because Taehyun had turned on a movie for the two of them, and their friends showed up randomly to hang out.
The hybrid bit into the edge of the cup with his sharp teeth, only to pull them out of the plastic and look down at what he did with embarrassment.
"Ugh." Beomgyu threw the cup away in the kitchen and went to his room, shutting the door behind him.
Taehyun looked up, with a bit of confusion,"I'll be right back guys."
The male got up, walking down the hallway to Beomgyu's room and knocking on the door.
"Go away." Beomgyu muttered. Oh. Taehyun figured Beomgyu was having a bit of a bad day.
"Are you okay Beommie?" Taehyun asked.
There was a pause,"C-come in."
Taehyun opened the door to see the cat laying down on his bed, his room was in organized chaos, with clothes on the floor and books opened on the desk as well as cups on the bedside table.
Taehyun sat on the edge of the bed beside Beomgyu,"What's going on?" Taehyun reached over to scratch the hybrid's ears, drawing soft purrs from the male.
"It's supposed to be me and you today." He whispered.
"Huh?" Taehyun couldn't hear the male.
"I'm tired and everyone's loud." He replied louder.
"I'm sorry. I can tell them to go home.." Taehyun spoke.
Beomgyu didn't say anything, basking in the comfort of Taehyun's hands in his hair.
Taehyun looked at Beomgyu with an unreadable look in his eyes. The hybrid's cute purrs made him want to pull the male into his embrace and hug him tightly.
"I'll be right back." He pulled his hand away and Beomgyu audibly whined, only to blush and pull his blanket over his head from the embarrassment.
"I don't care. You don't have to come back." Beomgyu let his mouth betray his mind.
Taehyun frowned. He knew Beomgyu well enough to understand that he didn't mean it, but it hurt sometimes to hear such words from the male.
"Oh." Taehyun left the room.
Beomgyu curled into himself, Why did I even say that?
Taehyun looked out at his friends,"Um.. sorry to cut this short guys, it's just Beomgyu's not feeling too well and the noise is getting to his ears." Taehyun lied.
"Aw." Kai frowned,"I hope he feels better soon." The friends began to clean up after themselves, putting the games away.
Taehyun waved them off before returning to Beomgyu's room,"They left." He murmured, before leaving and shutting the door behind him.
Beomgyu shifted from under the blanket and sat up to see Taehyun really hadn't come back. "Not that I care if he comes back."
The hybrid watched the door for a moment longer before frowning and getting out of bed to look for Taehyun. The male was sitting on the couch alone watching a movie.
Beomgyu fidgeted with his fingers,"Um.. what are you watching?"
Taehyun didn't even glance up at him,"Black Panther."
"Ah." Beomgyu's ears flattened on his head,"A-are you enjoying it?"
"Mhm." Taehyun replied. "Why'd you come out here?"
"Just.." Beomgyu didn't really want to admit that he wanted the male to come back. "T-to get a snack." The hybrid lied and turned to go to the kitchen.
Taehyun finally looked up to see Beomgyu walking away. Why can't he just be honest?
"So you didn't come here to hang out with me?" Taehyun spoke, hoping to coerce the male into speaking his mind.
Beomgyu froze,"N-no."
Taehyun was annoyed,"I'm going to go to Kai's place." He stood up and Beomgyu turned back around quickly.
"What? W-why?"
"Because you clearly don't want me here." Taehyun spoke.
"N-no that's not true! I do want- I-" Beomgyu blushed, tail swaying anxiously,"Don't go."
"I want to be around someone who's honest. You've been pushing me away for so long now.. and you've gotten so cold."
That's because for so long I've been in love with you. Beomgyu wanted to say, but he couldn't. Not when it would ruin their friendship. But it seems he's ruining it on his own.
Taehyun watched as the hybrid struggled to reply. He grabbed his things,"I'll be back tomorrow." The male left the apartment.
Beomgyu stared after him, tears building up. Sadly the hybrid sunk to the kitchen floor, crying to himself. He really wanted to tell Taehyun everything, but romances between humans and hybrids barely ever worked.
Taehyun was the first to truly accept him as he was but still see him as more than a hybrid. To ask for Taehyun's affection would be greedy. Beomgyu hiccuped, crying a bit harder.
He really did love Taehyun.

Taehyun reentered the house the next morning to hear complete silence. Usually Beomgyu was awake by now eating something. The male went to check the hybrid's room to see that it was empty.
Taehyun was a bit anxious. "Beomgyu?" He called out for his friend and recieved no response. He checked his room, and the bathroom to see no trace of the male.
But his shoes are still at the door.. Taehyun entered the kitchen and saw the hybrid on the floor asleep, eyes swollen from crying.
Taehyun frowned, crouching on the floor and running his fingers through Beomgyu's hair then trailing his hand down to cup Beomgyu's cheek,"You shouldn't sleep here, it's not comfortable."
Beomgyu stirred gently before nuzzling against Taehyun's hand. He could smell the male's comforting scent and opened his eyes, half awake.
"Why did you leave me Tae?" He muttered, closing them again, ears twitching cutly.
Taehyun flinched, What is he even thinking about? He lifted up the hybrid, carrying him back to his bedroom and placing him on his bed. It was then he noticed a few familiar items of clothing under one of Beomgyu's pillows.
Why does he have my hoodie? Taehyun just decided to leave it alone, tucking the hybrid into bed and stroking his ears again.
