French tipped toes laced in a pair of size seven Giuseppe Cruel Summer heels took elegant strides throughout the dimly lit restaurant, Pergola always fit to satisfy Jade's five senses. Something about [de fine the ambiance, energy how her and her friends always find themselves ordering one too many lychee martinis and dinning to their hearts content on their father's dimes.

She watched as her guest made his way around the table, pulling her seat out for her to sit. Dropping her mini white ostrich Kelly on the table, she took a seat as he reclaimed his own. She slipped off the white sable mink coat that nestled comfortably around her body, resting it behind her as she pulled at the short fabric of her white form fitting Wolford dress.

He was watching her every move as if he was studying her, always loving the way she seemed to capture the attention in the room. A man of his stature was known to always keep a woman of similar status and lifestyle by his side. It was a shame the two couldn't make it past five months into their relationship.

"So the only way I get to see you now is when it's business involved?" Messiah's deep brown eyes scaled her face as he spoke, his tone demanding as ever. The sexual tension between the two was palpable.

Jade's weakness was definitely a well dressed, well groomed man and Messiah ticked all of those boxes. Tonight he was dressed in a cream Loro Piana buttonless polo shirt, a deep green Bottgea intrecciato leather pant and black Bottega lug boots. She could tell he was wearing Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait, the Saffron, Ambergris and Cedar wood notes filling her nose. Her eyes landed on the stainless steel Patek Nautilus on his wrist, the time nearing eight thirty. She would have to be on her way to the airport soon.

"I gotta flight to catch in like two hours Messiah so we do gotta make this quick." She said, ignoring his question. She already knew what she was going to order, not even bothering to open the menu.

Their waiter for the night was already approaching them before Messiah could respond, quickly taking down their orders before whisking off to his next table.

"One of my screenwriters is working on a project I think you might be interested in." He said, initiating the conversation they were there to have.

Jade was currently a fine arts major in Drama at the illustrious Juilliard where she was receiving comprehensive training in various aspects of acting and performance techniques. It was always her dream to be an actress, mostly doing some commercial and print work as a child and eventually venturing into small roles in both TV shows and movies as a teen. She was mentored and trained by the best her whole life but still had yet to have her big break. It was only a matter of time though.

Despite Messiah's family being in real estate, he chose to forge his own path and started up his own independent entertainment company specializing in television and film production as well as distribution.

"I'm listening." She said before thanking the waiter who bought over her lychee martini.

Messiah briefly explained the plot, the story of a young woman who discovers a hidden journal that once belonged to her late grandmother, revealing a mysterious family secret tied to the Harlem Renaissance. Along the way the character uncovers the truth and finds herself facing a modern-day version of the challenges her grandmother once faced.

Jade was definitely intrigued, but she knew she would have to consult with her agent and manager first.

"I'm definitely open to it, I think it could really give my career some dimension." Jade said, the emerald cut baguette diamond stack on her middle and pointer fingers glistening each time she took a sip of her drink.

"I knew it was something you might be interested in so I definitely wanted to bring it to you first." He said causing her to smile.

"Thank you Messiah, I appreciate you thinking of me." She said sincerely.
