i woke up the morning around 7:30. kentaro had his arm around me and our legs were intertwined.

he woke up as i was trying to slowly wiggle my way out.

"where are you going? stay."

i froze in place. his morning voice is hot.

i successfully got up. "i'm just gonna make breakfast, i'll be back in a few."

still half-asleep, he propped himself up to grab my arm. "come back to bed y/n." his voice sounds so nice. and the sun is shining on his arm, bringing attention to the muscles that are showing through his tanktop.

i gave in and layed back down. who would've thought the mad-dog of seijoh liked to cuddle? our legs intertwined again and he grabbed my hand to put it on his head before wrapping his arm around me.

i smiled a little bit to myself and started playing with his hair. he's so cuddly when he's sleepy.

the next time i woke up it was almost 10. i got up without waking him this time and went to the bathroom. after brushing my teeth and fixing my hair a bit, i went downstairs to see reiko enjoying a coffee.

"good morning sweetheart!"

"good morning. is there anything i can cook for all of us for breakfast? kentaro is still sleeping."

"kentaro?? first name basis now, huh?" she smirked and raised her eyebrows. "are you sure there's nothing going on between you two?"

i cleared my throat and felt my face flush, "oh- i guess so. it's nothing. and yeah, our relationship is definitely platonic."

his mother laughed. "it's okay, just kidding. but in all seriousness: thank you so much. he's changed a lot since you came into his life."

i wish i could've seen how he was before me. "it's no problem, you don't have to thank me. i really like him!"

i froze when i realized what i said and she gasped. "you like him??" she grew such a big smile on her face."

i didn't know what to say after that. i didn't want to deny or confirm it because i didn't know if he was listening or not.

after a lot of back and forth, and after his sister woke up, we all made breakfast.

i went back upstairs to his room and saw that he awake on his phone, one of his arms was behind his head propping it up and his eyes were still red and puffy.

my heart throbbed. last night still feels so surreal. but in some ways, i'm glad it happened. i know how he feels so now i'll be able to help him feel better.

"good morning. did you sleep okay?"

"i slept good. thanks for being here."

i walked over to him. "of course. come eat, we made breakfast."  i grabbed his hand and he tossed his phone on the bed, following me to the kitchen.

"good morning son! you did amazing yesterday, im so proud of you." reiko walked up to him and gave him a hug.

"yeah, great job kid. you'll get 'em next time." kanna said, ruffling his short hair.

his mother gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"mom!" he exclaimed, clearly embarrassed and i giggled.

kanna and i made eye contact and she whispered, "mommas boy!"
