[The first two chapters were obviously in Bucky's perspective, this one is going to be in Sam's POV]
Warning: a bit of strong language

Stepping out in his backyard, Sam smiles to himself, letting out a content sigh. His first week in this new place went great. He has a few friends here, but they all live quite far away from his house. Luckily, he has found a very cute neighbor to make his heart swell with warmth every once in a while. This Bucky guy seems so shy and reserved, but every time they made eye contact over the past few days- whether it was when both of them were working in their gardens or just stepped out to get some fresh air- he would greet Sam with a sweet smile. Those smiles that reach his steel blue eyes and make them sparkle. He even invited Sam for dinner one night, as a thank you (for Sam's sweet treats) and welcome to this new place. Bucky made the best grilled chicken Sam has ever had, better than the ones he makes in his own restaurant.
Before coming here in his backyard Sam was kind of hoping to see Bucky out there too, as he makes a lot of his artworks sitting here. This time Sam is pretty fortunate, because Bucky is right there, hunched over a sketchbook.
"Hey there!" Sam's greeting turns out to be a little too enthusiastic which startles Bucky, making him let out an involuntary tiny squeak as he clasps his hands over his chest, trying to wipe away the embarrassed look from his lovely face at the same time.
"Oh shit, sorry! Didn't mean to scare you!" Mentally scolding himself, Sam lets out an apologetic smile.
"Uhh... It's alright, I'm just always a little too jumpy." Bucky tries to play it cool, trying to hide his flushed face while he is at it.
"Come over here! I'm gonna start a new painting. Do you wanna see?" After two seconds of awkward silence Bucky does not know where that surge of confidence came from, but in the past week Sam genuinely seemed to be interested in his art, so why not call him over?
"I can also take in the 'sweet vanilla and fresh air after a rain' scent that radiates off of him, too."
"Yeah sure, I'd love to." Again that grin appears on Sam's lips that has already started making Bucky weak in the knees.
Bucky gets up and opens the tiny door attached to the short wall keeping their house areas separated, so that Sam does not have to cross the bush of roses over there.
Once Sam is in Bucky's garden, he notices cameras set up around his portable table.
"Are you shooting?" Sam mouths to Bucky, he does not know if it's recording sound too and he definitely never wants to disrupt Bucky's work.
"Yeah, but it's alright, it's not recording any audio, just the video and I'm going to edit that a lot anyways." Bucky flushes a small smile and pulls out a chair for Sam.
And if they kept chatting and grinning like fools while Bucky's painting was long forgotten, then no one has to know about that.

"You know, Bucky reminds me of those winter afternoons where the sun shines so brightly but the sunlight is so gentle and warm, you can sit outside for hours. Or like sunset sky where it's so pretty up there, multiple colors paint the sky, just like his art. Or.... those summer mornings but the weather is still not too hot, everything is cool and breezy, the sky's clear and air's refreshing." Sam speaks in a dreamy voice making his best friend, Natasha, shake her head with a hopeless sigh.
"So he basically looks like the sun, but not the scorching one, those that give warm sunlight, right?" She says with a smirk, and Sam nods enthusiastically, "yeah, exactly that one!"
"Is he like...yellow, somehow? I mean with all of your 'he's the sun' monologue, my brain keeps showing me a yellow blob!" Natasha grins, surely making Sam feel offended.
"What! Noo! He's beautiful!" Sam cannot control his loud voice, and makes a few of his customers give him weird looks.
"Sorry sorry, I was just messing with you. Actually my brain is providing me with beautiful natural scenarios. Do you have any photos of him?"
"No, of course not. It's been just thirteen days, and I definitely can't take his pictures!" Sam whisper-shouts, his face heating up.
"But he's on YouTube, right? What's his channels' name?" Natasha asks fishing her phone out of her purse.
"Just his name, James Bucky Barnes. I did watch some of his stuff, he's real good." Sam gushes while Natasha tries to find Bucky.
"And.... found him! Oh my, he's beauty, he's grace; Sam, are you sure you don't want to fuck his face?" Nat smirks, her friend really has found an attractive one.
"What, NO!! What's wrong with you! Why would I want to do that!" Sam stumbles on his own words, his face red with embarrassment. Natasha has always been very straight-forward, most of the times it is great but sometimes it is downright... painful.
"You can't stop daydreaming about him. You definitely wanna sleep with him, don't you?"
"I mean... Yeah... No... I mean, yes... but not like- now. You know, he's very shy and reserved, and I'd love to know him better, take some time, then we can proceed with...other stuff, if he ever wants to date me in the first place. I never think about 'fucking someone's face' in the first place, Nat, at least you should know that. And we should never say this sort of stuff about anyone in the first place!" Sam looks a bit embarrassed and annoyed at the same time and Natasha cannot help but scold herself mentally.
"Hey I'm sorry for saying it just like that, took it too far I guess. But I really do think he's very pretty, and... As you're saying, he seems like a great guy. And he does talk to you a lot, no matter how shy he is. So give it a try." Natasha speaks calmly, her voice sincere and caring.
"Thanks Nat. And I guess it's okay then, I mean it's not like I'm never saying weird stuff, I hang out with you, Clint and Kate, can't avoid being weird when I'm friends with you guys- ow! Don't hit me!"
Sam carries on his banter with Natasha, totally unaware of what the future might bring him.
Maybe something sweet, anyways.

How was the chapter?
Also I want to write something that would be kind of canon compliant, like a new story. I thought out the summary too-
"Bucky has a huge crush on Sam but he thinks he is not worthy to be with him.
Sam has a huge crush on Bucky but he thinks he is not worthy to be with him.
Steve just wants his ship to sail."
Would you guys like to read something going in that route? Let me know!
Take care 😊
