A miraculous turn of fate places Nathaniel "Nate" Sprayberry, a 16 year old high school student, in the crosshairs of a group of dangerous individuals and with his new found abilities, he must overcome these foes.
The story begins with our main character Nathanael Sprayberry aka Nate laying face down on the grass underneath the old oak tree in Loring Park. There's a rope tied around his neck with the other end tied to a broken tree branch. He is currently unconscious and this prevents him from seeing a rather bright light radiating from his left arm followed by it fading away. How did the main character end up in this predicament? Well...to tell you that, we will have to go back a few days.

Nathanael "Nate" Sprayberry is just your average ordinary sixteen (16) year old teenage boy. He enjoys exercising, playing videogames, specifically Jump Force, he likes watching anime and he loves listening to music, specifically Metal. He is 185 cm tall, he has blue eyes, brown hair and an abnormal love for Reece's Cups. His birthday is September 12, 2006.

He's on the basketball team and lots of girls like him but he has a crush on one particular girl: Joanne Johnson. She's also sixteen (16) years old, with dark hair, brown eyes, 172 cm tall, has an obsession with Evanessence and she loves to study. Also, she volunteers at some medical facility on the weekends. Did I also mention that she's also the head girl at the school? Many guys on the basketball team likes her but somehow... she turns them all down but can't find a clear reason why she does it.

Nate is a really confident guy but whenever he goes over to Joanne to talk to her, his ability to speak English somehow gets removed from his body. Funny enough, he's known her since the 3rd grade and even back then, he had a crush on her. Nate is now in the middle of basketball practice and he's doing great but as Joanne walks into the gym with her friend Tracy, Nate suddenly pauses and starts staring at her. Dujhauni, a member of the basketball team, notices this and capitalizes on the opportunity and passes the ball to him but instead of Nate catching it with his hands, he catches it with his face and this causes him to fall. Everyone in the gym starts laughing at Nate, except Joanne and Andrew, Nate's best friend. Andrew runs over to him and helps him back to his feet.
