A miraculous turn of fate places Nathaniel "Nate" Sprayberry, a 16 year old high school student, in the crosshairs of a group of dangerous individuals and with his new found abilities, he must overcome these foes.
Nate has arrived at The Bungalow Club and is now attending to Natalie's sprained wrist along with Bill, the owner of the restaurant.
Nate: How exactly did you sprain your wrist, by the way?
Natalie: Some guy came here and ordered a cup of coffee and a bagel. He seemed really nice at first but...then he started asking me personal questions?
Nate: Like what?
Natalie: About you and why I go the big oak tree in the park every week. He sounded like a stalker so I tried to walk away from him but he grabbed my wrist and squeezed it really hard. It was almost like his hand was made of concrete or something. I screamed for him to let go but he didn't. It's after Bill came out and threatened to shoot him, he decided to leave.
Bill: Actually, there's something else. While he was leaving, he checked his phone and somehow got upset. I'm gonna assume that it was a text he got.
Nate: Can you describe the guy?
Natalie: Really handsome, perfect jaw line, black hair, brown eyes, REALLY sexy lips and he was wearing a rather expensive looking Gucci suit and gloves. All black too, by the way. He seemed really familiar too...
Nate: Which way did he go? And how ago long did he leave?
Bill: He went up the road and it couldn't have been fifteen (15) minutes ago.
Nate angrily stands to his feet.
Natalie: Nate, what are you doing? You're not gonna go after him, are you?
Nate: He hurt you. He's gonna pay for that.
Bill: Kid, I've seen alot of psychopaths in my time but he seemed different. I aimed a gun at this man with intent to kill and he didn't even flinch. He only smiled and left. By my guess, he won't hesitate to kill you.
Nate: Let him try.
After this, Nate storms out of the restaurant and heads off in the direction that they told him the mystery man went off in.
Natalie: NATE! COME BACK!!!
Bill: Goddamn. He reminds me of your dad. He was always that hot-headed when it came on to people he loves...
After eight (8) minutes of running, Nate arrives at the entrance of the park and he sees the mystery man walking into the park. Without hesitation, Nate decides to pursue him.
Nate: HEY YOU!
The mystery man stops and takes a glance at the oak tree that Nate's family has a connection to and smiles.
Nate: You're the one that hurt my sister! I'm here to kick your ass!
Jonah: You must be Nate. I've heard my associate speak about you alot. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Nate: You know my name but I don't know yours. That's not very gentleman-like.
Jonah: My name is Jonah Matarazzo. That's about as much as I will tell you right now.

Nate: Jonah, huh? Like that guy that got swallowed by the whale?
Jonah: That's one way to put it. But to be honest with you...you're not my actual target. I'm using you to lure in a bigger fish.
Nate: I've had enough of your voice! I'm gonna kick your ass for hurting my sister!!!
Jonah simply smiles and watches as Nate runs towards him.
MEANWHILE...
Andrew has just arrived at The Bungalow Club after a ten (10) minute walk. His clothes are a bit damaged and he does look a bit dirty, symbolizing that he was in a fight. He sees Natalie and Bill but not Nate. This prompts him to believe that something's wrong.
Andrew: Natalie! Are you okay? Where's Nate? I thought he said he was coming here to you...
Natalie: He did. But after Bill and I told him about the guy who injured me, he left in a hurry.
Bill: Speaking of injuries...good Lord, kid. What happened to you?
Andrew: Never mind that. Which direction did Nate go?
Natalie: Up the road. Why?
Andrew: Mr Bill, take care of her. I'll be right back. I gotta go save Nate.
Andrew runs out of the restaurant and goes off in the same direction. Natalie and Bill are confused, concerned and worried all in one about Nate and Andrew. After a few minutes of running, Andrew arrives at the entrance of the park but is somehow feeling compelled to enter the park. After a minute of thinking, he enters the park and ends up at the oak tree that Nate's family has a weird connection to. What Andrew sees has him in shock.
Andrew: What the...?
Andrew sees Nate hung up to the tree with one end of a rope around his neck and the other end attached to a branch on the tree. Nate appears to be unconscious and his face and clothes are bloody. As Andrew makes a step to go save his friend, he sees Jonah step out from behind the tree.
Jonah: You made it. Finally.
Andrew: Let my friend go. Please.
Jonah: I can do that. But you gotta do something for me first.
Andrew: What's that?
Jonah takes out a pair of handcuffs and tosses them to Andrew.
Jonah: Put those on.
Andrew: What? Why?
Jonah: I got a text about Brad and Evan getting short-circuited by some kid that's connected to this brat that I hung up to the tree. I have to take precaution. I don't know exactly how you defeated those two (2) but...I'm not taking any chances. And...boss will be happy to know that I caught the brat that stole from him a few months ago.
Andrew: Boss? Wait a minute. The owner of Medicamento Consolidated is connected to all of this?
Jonah: This is alot deeper than you think, boy. And you just placed yourself in our crosshairs when you decided to steal from us. Now...put the cuffs on or you can watch your friend die.
Andrew hesitates a bit but eventually puts it on. After that, he realizes that he can't feel his Essence anymore.
Andrew: What the...?
Jonah: Auto Cryptic Destabilizing Cuffs or AC/DC's for short. Boss had them made just in case we got out of hand. It destabilizes all abilities you may have gained from what you stole.
Andrew: I did as you asked. Now...let Nate go.
Jonah: As you wish.
Jonah takes out a knife out of his pocket and throws it at the branch the rope is connected to with pinpoint accuracy. This causes the branch to break and, in the process, Nate falls face first at the foot of the tree. Jonah turns back to Andrew and smiles.
Jonah: Now. As for you...I'm gonna have a lot of fun with you.
Andrew takes one glance at Nate and sees a bright light radiate from his left arm before it vanishes. Andrew remembers seeing that light before but chooses not to say anything.
Andrew: Do your worst, asshole. I can take it...
Jonah smiles and then looks at a nearby camera. A silhouette of a person comes out of it and grabs both Jonah and Andrew and pulls them into the camera. A woman that is jogging nearby discovers Nate's body and screams out then she calls the police. But is it too late for Nate?
