Lord Of Scars (Part 3)

Delilah Germanotta has just arrived back home. As she walks in, she remembers the conversation she had with her boss before she left Medicamento Consolidated.

Delilah: We've killed so much in the name of science. Now, we're holding a teenager hostage. One of my students. When does this end?

???: It ends when we've recovered all that was stolen from us. There are 3 pieces of the rock that was taken. Two by Vladimir's prisoner and one by that pathetic couple we parted ways with 9 years ago. What's wrong? Don't tell me you're having second thoughts now, Delilah...

Delilah: I can't take any more bloodshed. It needs to stop.

???: Be careful, Delilah. Think about what you're doing. I'll give you time to think about it.

Delilah has been at her boss' side for several decades but now, she's choosing to free her conscience.

Delilah: He mentioned that couple from 9 years ago. I need to do more research on them...

She then takes up her laptop and starts going back through her files and, when she finds out what's going on, she's left speechless.

Delilah: Oh my God. That monster. I must stop him...

MEANWHILE...

Nate has just arrived at the location he got from Joanne. It's a Medicamento Medicinal Facility that's still under construction. He starts going up the steps and, after a while, he ends up at the top floor. He sees Andrew still handcuffed to the chair, covered in dried blood and he's in the same clothes Nate saw him in the day he came by to prepare him for his study date with Joanne. As he starts to approach Andrew, he sees Jonah walk out of the darkness, sipping a bottle of water.

Nate: Let him go. NOW.

Jonah: Wow. No proper greetings? It's been 2 whole weeks since I last saw you. How's your neck doing?

Nate: Fine. Can't say yours will be feeling the same way in a few minutes...Vladimir.

Jonah looks at him with a shocked look on his face.

Nate: That's right. I know your secret. And I know about the magic rocks you and Dr Freitag are trying to keep for yourselves.

Jonah: You figured out a piece of a larger puzzle. Congratulations.

Nate: Now...where's Dr Freitag?

Jonah: To know that...you'll have to beat me in a fight. I'm eager to see what your Essence is. But first...let me show you mine.

Jonah tosses the bottle away and takes off his jacket and shirt then he touches the ground that's made of concrete and his skin immediately starts to look like the concrete. Nate looks at him in shock.

Jonah: Let me explain it to you. I can get the properties of anything I come in contact with. This is my Essence....TOURMALINE!!!

Nate: Whoa. That's actually kinda scary. That's what he used to win those fights in the 1900's...

Jonah: I heard that you took out an entire biker gang by yourself! Your Essence must be god tier! I DEMAND THAT YOU SHOW IT TO ME! NOW!!!

Nate: How the hell am I gonna do that? I don't even know what my power is or how I got it in the first place...

Jonah: Well...if you're not gonna attack...I WILL!!!!!!!

Jonah leaps at Nate and Nate dives out of the way. He then starts running towards Andrew.

Jonah: WHY ARE YOU RUNNING? I HAVEN'T HAD A CHALLENGE IN DECADES! STOP TEASING ME AND COME FIGHT ME ALREADY!!!!!!!

Jonah starts to run after Nate and, before Nate could reach Andrew, Jonah grabs him by the back of his head and slams his face into the ground. He does this repeatedly until Nate's nose starts to bleed. Andrew wakes up and realizes what's going on. Jonah flips Nate over on his back and starts punching him in the face repeatedly, letting out a maniacal laugh while he does this. As Jonah stands to his feet, he looks at Nate at his feet and then he looks at Andrew.

Jonah: Boss will reward me handsomely! I've captured both of the thieves! I remain the all powerful Essence owner!!!

Jonah's laughs turns to sounds of sorrow as his nose starts bleeding and, after this his head starts to crack like actual concrete with blood gushing everywhere. Nate slowly rises to his feet.

Jonah: That's...impossible. You didn't even touch me. So how did...? Wait. It all makes sense. Your Essence...any damage you take is then reflected upon the person who hurt you. That's how you defeated the Devil Dogs...

Nate: Thanks for telling me. Because even I didn't know that.

Andrew finally breaks free from the handcuffs and has now picked up a stone.

Andrew: Nate! MOVE!

Nate dives out of the way but Jonah is more caught up with trying to prevent his head from falling apart while blood is gushing from it like a river.

Andrew: This is for all the shit you did to me...

Andrew throws the stone at Jonah but then, right before the stone hits, Andrew touches the sledgehammer beside him.

Andrew: QUID...PRO QUO!!!

The stone he threw swaps places with the sledgehammer and the sledgehammer collides with Jonah's head, causing one half of his head to explode.

Jonah: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

The hit causes Jonah to be forced back to the edge of the building and now, his body is falling to ground level. His body then shatters to pieces due to the impact of him colliding with the ground. His body still remained as concrete because that was what he absorbed before his death. Vladimir Matarazzi aka Jonah Matarazzo...IS DEAD.

Nate looks over at the pieces of Jonah's body on the ground below. He then staggers over to Andrew and helps him up, his arm around his neck. Andrew is weak but Nate doesn't mind carrying him.

Andrew: You came. What took you so long?

Nate: I was in the hospital. I broke out earlier tonight.

Andrew: I saw it. Just for a second. But I saw it...

Nate: What did you see?

Andrew: Your...Essence. Based off what that asshole said, your Essence reverses the pain inflicted upon you to those who caused it. If I had that...I'd name it...LORD OF SCARS. [Original name: SCARLORD.]

Nate: That's a pretty cool name. But hey. Let's get outta here before anyone else shows up.

Andrew: Yeah. Let's do that. I haven't had a decent meal or a decent shower in days...

After reaching the Devil Dogs' kidnapping van, he places Andrew on the passenger side and then gets in the drivers side and starts up the van. As he looks at the pieces of Jonah's body on the ground, he spits at them.

Nate: I hope you burn in hell for all you did.

After that, Nate runs over the concrete-like pieces of Jonah's body, crushing it to a powder-like substance. After that, he drives away from the unfinished building and starts driving to Joanne's house. Nate takes a glance at Andrew, who is fast asleep on the passenger seat, and smiles.

Nate: I saved my sister and my best friend all in one night. After this...it's goodbye Minnesota...and hello Los Angeles.
