A miraculous turn of fate places Nathaniel "Nate" Sprayberry, a 16 year old high school student, in the crosshairs of a group of dangerous individuals and with his new found abilities, he must overcome these foes.
Nate slowly opens his eyes and looks around. He realized that he's in the hospital, laying on a hospital bed. He sees flowers and get-well cards all around the room and he also sees Natalie fast asleep near to his bed, her hand holding his. After a small squeeze, she wakes up.
Natalie: Nate?
Nate: Sis...
Natalie gets up and hugs him tightly and starts cheering and rejoicing. This prompts Joanne and Bill to run into the room.
Joanne: Nate! You're up! Oh my God...
Bill: We thought we lost you, kid.
Nate: How did I end up here? How long have I been here?
Natalie: Two (2) weeks. And...some lady found you in the park all bloody and beaten. She called the police and, after identifying you, they called me. That's when I told Bill and Joanne and we all came. What's the last thing you remember?
Nate: I caught up to the guy who hurt you and I was ready to kick his ass but...he kicked mine. He punched me twice and after that, I was unconscious. The rest is a blur.
Bill: What about your friend Andrew? He went off to look for you.
Nate: Andrew came looking for me?
Natalie: Yeah. But...ever since that day, no one's seen him. Even his mom is freaking out over it. And the police can't seem to ID this guy either. Apparently, all the cameras at the park were all down during his arrival and no one knows who he is.
Nate: Andrew's missing? And the guy who knocked me out has disappeared? That can't be a coincidence...
Joanne: But...why take Andrew? Why not kill him and leave him?
Bill: Maybe there's something deeper than what we know is going on.
At that same time, Vanessa DiCaprio, Andrew's mother, walks into the room with tears in her eyes.

Natalie: Um...Miss DiCaprio. We never knew you were coming...
Vanessa: Andrew...Andrew...he's been doing lots of research on a company...
Bill: What company?
Vanessa: Some building named Medicamento Consolidated. I found his journal last night and was reading through it and it's mostly about this damn company and about some rocks he saw there...
Joanne: Rocks? What rocks? Did he leave a description of it?
Vanessa: He...he took a photo of it. He was gonna sell and use the money to build a house for me.
Vanessa shows the photo to everyone in the room but the only person who recognizes it is Joanne.
Joanne: I have to go.
Nate: Joanne! Where are you going?
Joanne: I need to go find out something. I'll be back when I'm done.
