It's been 4 days since Robert and Malia have been on the run. Robert goes to The Bungalow Club to meet up with his old friend Bill one more time.
Bill: Robert? Malia? Is that really you two?
Robert: How you been, my brother?
Bill: I've been great!
Malia: Nice to meet you again, Bill.
After a few hugs and some smiles, they all sit down to talk.
Bill: So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit? I haven't seen you 2 since you started working with that big shot David Viernes.
Robert: About that. We quit.
Bill: What? When? Why?
Malia: It's...complicated.
Bill: Well...I understand. Those big shots can be a pain to deal with. Like that woman I used to talk to last year.
Robert: You mean Vanessa???
Bill: I had to drop her. She's too high maintenance for me. And her son is a stubborn, mischievous one.
Malia: Her son is friends with Nate. At school, they're inseparable and they always defend each other.
Bill: That's good. So...what are you 2 gonna do now?
Robert: Um...we're gonna go out of town for a while. We want you to watch over Nate and Natalie for us.
Bill: What about Lori?
Malia: Lori is my sister but...being responsible has never been her thing. So I want you to provide an extra set of eyes. Also...
Malia takes out a cheque out of her bag and hands it to Bill.
Bill: What's this?
Malia: They're gonna need money for school. I need you to put this in their bank account so that when the time is right, they'll be okay.
Robert: Just in case we have to spend a few years. You know...work can be time consuming.
Bill looks at them and smiles.
Bill: For my godchildren, I'll do anything.
They smile and, after some more well-wishing and farewells, Robert and Malia leave. One the way, they get ambushed by 2 men with knives. After a struggle, Robert and Malia get away. They escape into the park and end up at the foot of the oak tree, the one that's important to their family. Robert takes out the rock and looks at it.
Malia: What are you doing?
Robert: If we don't make it out alive, I don't want them getting this.
Malia: So what are you gonna do?
Robert pulls out a small scoop he has in his bag and digs a hole at the foot of the tree and then slices the bag the rock is in and throws it into the hole and covers it with dirt.
Robert: Did you write the letter?
Malia: Yeah. And I sent it to Lori 2 days ago. It has all the details on it.
Robert: Good. Now...let's go.
After a few hours of traveling, they finally arrive at the airstrip. As they start running towards the small helicopter they plan to escape in, it explodes. They look and see electricity take the shape of a person before their very eyes. To their surprise, it's Evan.
Malia: Evan?
Evan: How far did you think you were gonna get after stealing from us? We treated you like a family and this is how you repay us?
Robert: You and your boss was only using us to rebuild your Nazi army! We know the truth!
Robert pulls out his gun and aims it at Evan but a giant splash of water knocks it from his hands. The water eventually takes shape and to their surprise, it's Brad.
Brad: Good luck with that truth.
The gun that was knocked from Robert's hand is on the ground and Jonah walks up and steps on it, crushing it to pieces. His skin is like that of iron.
Jonah: You betrayed us. I can't believe you'd do that. You could've been apart of something greater.
Robert: We'd rather die.
Behind them, David walks up with a gun in his hand and aims it at Robert.
David: Interesting choice of words.
Robert turns to get shot in the abdomen by David and this causes him to fall on the ground.
Malia: NOOOOOOOOOO!
Malia looks at Robert in shock and then turns to look at David.
David: Answer this and I'll let you live. Where is the rock?
Malia: I'll never tell you. So just shoot me already.
David. Fine.
David shoots her and she falls down beside Robert. As they both start to bleed to death, they look at each other and smile then hold hands. David, Jonah, Brad and Evan all walk away from where they are, leaving them to die.
Malia: Do you think...the kids will be okay?
Robert: They got Lori...and Bill. They'll...be fine.
Malia: And what of the rock?
Robert: One of them will find it one day. And they'll start searching. And that...will lead them to the truth. As I said...that tree will unite our family.
Malia: Who do you think will find the rock first? Nate or Natalie?
Robert: My bet's on Nate. I can bet he's gonna...randomly find it one day.
Malia: My bet's on Natalie. She always falls asleep under the tree. She might find it while she's sleeping.
They both chuckle a bit and look up at the sky and, after a final glance, Malia closes her eyes, marking her death. Robert smiles for a bit.
Robert: We chose to keep you kids out of our work. We knew something like this might happen one day. So we planned for it. Just know...that we will always be watching over you and...we will always love you...Nate...and Natalie...
After saying that, Robert closes his eyes, marking his death. Robert and Malia...are now dead. Delilah, who was hiding inside one of the cameras nearby, appears before their bodies and, after some thinking, she calls the police. And hour later, the bodies of Robert and Malia were taken from the airstrip and taken to the morgue. Their deaths never made it onto the news and the why was obvious. Their connection to Medicamento Consolidated would raise too many questions. So David bribed the news outlets, the morgue and the police to keep quiet about it. His connections are very high and for the next 9 years, their deaths remained a secret. Until now. Now that Nate has found out the truth, what will he do? Will he run or will he stand up and fight to avenge the memory of his parents?
