Katie's pov:

The following days were kind of boring. They were as usual but after being with Cedric everything else just didn't seem good enough.

Currently it was lunch and I was on my way to the great hall when I heard someone.

"Katie wait up!"

I turned around and saw Mia.

"Hey Mia!"

"Hey, do you wanna sit with me at lunch?"

"Of course."

We walked over to a table and I saw Cedric and waved at me causing me to blush and wave back.

"Ooh does someone have a little crush?" Mia teased.

"No I don't." I quickly defended.

"Defensive. I like it but you can't lie to me. I can see the way you're blushing."

"I- n-no I don't....."

"Come on every time we talk about him you blush. It's cute don't worry."

"Well I don't like him."

"I don't believe that I'm afraid."

"Well I know it's the truth, I don't think I'll ever like someone more than a friend again."

"Agai-"

"Hello girls." I heard from behind me.

"Cedric hey." I said.

"Hey Cedric. We were just talking about you." Mia teased.

Damn it Mia I love you but stop embarrassing me.

"Oh only good things I hope." Cedric chuckled.

"Oh yeah totally. Well I better be going."

"But you haven't eaten?" I said confused.

"Anyways I'm leaving you for some alone time now." She winked.

This girl.

"Sorry about her." I apologised as Cedric sat down beside me causing a few stares from people close to us.

"Don't worry about it she's funny."

"Yeah."

"So anyways what are you doing this weekend?"

"You know me. I don't have any plans."

"Right. Well I was thinking. Would you wanna hang out this weekend?"

"I would love to." I said a little bit to quickly.

"I mean fine I guess."

He laughed, most beautiful sound I've ever heard.

"Great. I'll talk to you later?"

"Yeah sure."

"Okay bye."

"Bye."

And for the rest of the day I was happy and very excited.

Today was Friday and Cedric told me that he would meet me after my last class which was DADA. And when I walked out of the classroom Cedric stood against the wall with his arms crossed.

"Hey." He said as I was in front of him.

"Hi."

"Do you wanna come with me to my room?"

"Uh sure."

As we started walking we saw his friends and I caught Justin smirking at Cedric and I got eye contact with Justin a quick second before I looked away.
