always drunk

Cedric's pov:

I knew that Katie didn't want anything to do with me and I'm gonna respect that.

I haven't heard from her since we were in school. My heart broke when she told me she didn't like me anymore, me on the other hand love her even more every day.

So I didn't speak to her because that's what she wanted but also because it just hurts.

I've seen her with that Landon boy in school a lot, he seems nice. He's friends with Katie's brother so I assume Eric approves him. We all know that Eric doesn't approve of me.

This summer I haven't really done anything. I've met up with Fred and George some time to drink and smoke. It felt nice to be drunk and to forget reality.

If I didn't fall asleep drunk I'd fall asleep crying because she wasn't mine.

I saw Hermione a few times if I was at the Weasley's and I once asked her if she knew anything about Katie but said she didn't. I knew she lied because she didn't wanna talk about Katie with me and that's okay.

I was more lazy and rude. I was never taking Lucy out on walks anymore and I didn't speak to my parents often and never helped them with anything at home.

I could tell they were annoyed at me.

It was time to go back to school and as I stood at the train station I saw her. She looks beautiful as always she's a little sunburned and smiles when she spots Mia.

They ran up to each other and hugged like they hadn't seen each other for years but knowing them it was probably a few days since they last saw each other.

Ava and Sebastian came hand in hand and they all hugged each other and laughed.

Sebastian spotted me and walked up to me.

"Hey man, haven't seen you in a while." He smiled and patted my shoulder.

I shrugged and kept looking and Katie. Mia pointed behind her and when she turned around she smiled. I followed her eye and saw him. Landon.

They hugged and then the worst sight I've ever seen happened. They kissed.

"They're a thing now?" I asked.

"Yeah...are you okay?"

Of course I'm not fucking okay.

I just shrugged and walked inside of the train.

I was quiet the entire ride and I think Sebastian understood I didn't want to speak because he was quiet as well. But I could see him look at me, I looked at little different, I have bags under my eyes, messier and a little longer hair and my mom says I'm skinnier.

The next day we had classes as usual and when I got to class I was late. Snape gave me a warning look but told me that since I was a prefect and had to do rounds today it was fine.

The only seat left was at the back next to Katie.

I sighed and sat down next to her.

She looked a little surprised when she saw me but quickly looked away.

We were supposed to answer some questions but I hadn't listened this lesson so I didn't know what to answer.

"Pst." Katie whispered.

I looked at her and she showed me her answers and gave me a pencil since I didn't have one. She smiled at me and my heart melt.

I wrote as fast as I could and when class ended I gave my paper to Snape and then left.

I blew the smoke out of my mouth as I sat down in my bed. Sebastian barged in and coughed.

"What the fuck how much have you smoked?" He asked and I shrugged.

"There's a party tonight, wanna go?" He asked.

"I have prefect duties but whatever." I shrugged.

A while later we were there, the music was loud and teenagers were everywhere.

I sat down in a couch and Sebastian came over with drinks for us.

I had a girl on my lap, don't know who or why but I didn't care. She held up a few pills and smirked.

"Wanna have some fun?" She asked and leaned closer to me.

I was about to decline when I saw Katie. She wore a black silk dress, it sat tight and showed her curves. The curves on her beautiful and perfect body. Her hair was a little curled and she had some makeup on. She looked beautiful.

But when didn't she look beautiful?

Landon walked up to her and she circled her arms around his neck and kissed him. He smiled and pulled her closer.

Tears pricked in my eyes and I instantly took a pill from the girl. She looked surprised but smiled.

I lightly pushed her off, her smile fell and she walked away. I stood up and felt my head spin a little. I brought my hand to my forehead and closed my eyes when I felt a sound ringing in my ear.

My sight became blurry and I looked around before I fell.

Everything was dark and quiet.
