the bet, cedric diggory

swimming

Cedric's pov:

I enjoyed yesterday a bit too much and I really wanted to see her today too. I felt bad when Justin constantly remembered me that it was a bet but honestly I like being with her. She's shy but she actually funny and easy to talk to.

I went to her dorm and knocked but no one opened so after few seconds I went to the library. There she was. Laughing with a blonde girl sitting next to her. I recognised her and realised she was the one Katie was with at the party. It looked like the friend was telling a story and when she finished it they both were laughing which made me smile.

I like seeing her happy.

Her friend was about to go up from the chair when she saw me standing there which made her smirk. She told Katie something and then walked towards me.

"She's all yours, have fun." She smirked.

I walked over to Katie and she looked at me surprised.

"Cedric hi!"

"Hey I hope I didn't interrupt."

"Oh no don't worry about it."

"Do you wanna do something fun?"

"Um, what's fun?"

"You'll see." I said and grabbed her hand.

"Cedric my books."

"We can get them later, I don't think anyone is gonna take them."

"Fine." She agreed.

I like holding hands with her. I intertwined our fingers and when I looked at her she looked at our hands smiling.

We walked through the school and a few people were looking and whispering and i noticed the discomfort from Katie so I squeezed her hand making her look at me.

"Ignore them, okay?"

She nodded and gave me a little smile.

We continued to walk and eventually we were in front of the black lake.

"What are we doing here?"

"We are going for a swim."

"Yeah no. You can swim if you want but I'm not going to."

"Come on don't be boring."

"I don't even have a bikini with me, you basically dragged me here. And it's September it's so cold." She said as she crossed her arms.

"We'll just swim in our underwear. And just don't think about the weather just do it. It will be fun I promise." I said and shrugged my shoulders.

She looked at me like I was crazy.

"Are you crazy? We're not far away from school can't we just go back?"

"Most people are at dinner now and trust me, no one goes here. No one. It's fine."

"Okay." She said hesitantly.

I turned around and took my shirt of and then my pants leaving me in boxers and I waited until I heard her walking closer to me. When I turned around I tried not to look to much at her body but she didn't care she looked me up and down and when her eyes caught mine she blushed.

"Sorry."

"Don't apologise." I said in a low voice.

When she didn't look I picked her up and placed her on my shoulder as she let out a surprised screen and held onto me tight. I ran into the water and let her down.

"God you can't scare me like that."

"Oh yeah?"

"No."

"Fineeee let's go."

I started walking but stopped and let out a high scream when I felt water get splashed on my back. Katie's laughter didn't stop and when I turned around I saw her clutching her stomach as she laughed hard.

"You...sounded like....a..girl." She said between laughs.

"You think that's funny?" I questioned but she only nodded as she continued to laugh.

I ran up to her and lifted her up so her legs were around my torso and her arms immediately held tightly around my neck, afraid to fall. I placed my hands under her thighs.

"Cedric, don't you dare." She said when she saw my smirk and saw my hands out in the wind not carrying her anymore. She held on to me more tightly but eventually she was to tired and fell into the water.

We were long enough out so her entire body was now covered in the cold water when she came back up she gasped and I watched as her chest raised up and down fast. Fuck.

"Okay you have to dip now too just so you know." She panted.

"Only for you." I said and dipped under the cold water.

I swam and grabbed her legs so they would be on by shoulders as I stood up. Katie now held onto my head as her life depended on it.

"You've got to stop doing that." She said and I only laughed and helped her down so she could stand on her own again.

"Sorry."

"You're not really sorry are you?" She said and raised her eyebrows a small smile on her lips.

"No." We both chuckled.

I walked closer to her and brushed her wet hair away from her face and caressed both of her cheeks with my hands.

"You're so beautiful." I said and she blushed.

She really is pretty and in the evening sun light she looked like a goddess.

"You're pretty too." She said and looked down. I placed my finger under her chin making her look at me again. I leaned in so our faces were even closer.

"Can I kiss you?" I asked in a low voice.

When she nodded I wasted no time kissing her. It was a long and passionate kiss. He soft lips kissed me back and she hesitantly placed her arms around my neck. I placed my arms around her waist pulling her closer. I gave her some pecks and then I leaned in and kissed her a little harder and entered my tongue and she moaned in my mouth. Her tongue met mine and we continued to kiss each other.

When we pulled away we both breathed heavily and then she smiled and rested her cheek on my shoulder as I rubbed her back.

"You wanna go back?" I asked her.

"Honestly no, but it might be good, curfew starts soon."

"Yeah let's go." I said and we walked back to the sand.

We got dressed and walked back hand in hand and when we got to her dorm I gave her a small good night kiss and then I went back to my dorm.

I always forget that this was a bet but I really wanted to be captain and I like Katie so there's no problem.
