"a bet, really?"

Katie's pov:

Today I was spending my day with Mia since I promised her and when I thought about it we hadn't really been seeing each other a lot.

We went to have some butterbeer and she showed me a couple of books at a store that she recommended.

It was nice being with her again.

When we came back we decided that she would come over to my dorm after leaving her clothes, so I went back to my dorm.

I got closer to the common room when I heard voices from around the wall.

"You don't think she's gonna know that it was a bet?" Was that Sebastian?

"It's not a bet anymore." Wait, that's Cedric.

"Yeah but you started talking to her because you agreed to do the bet."

"Fine yes I agreed to make Katie have sex with me but before we did have it I stopped the bet." Cedric snapped.

I stood frozen.

This can't be real.

Cedric...made a bet?

About me?

Tears stung in my eyes and I didn't know what to do.

I took a deep breath and walked round the corner, seeing Cedric and Sebastian.

"Katie." Cedric said surprised but smiled nonetheless.

"A bet, really?" I asked.

His smile fell and he walked closer to me.

"Love no, I agreed to that bet months ago and when I caught feelings for you I ended it." He said and grabbed my hands but I pulled them out of his grasp.

"Still, before you 'caught feelings' for me, if that's even true. You didn't care about that."

"No I did but I didn't think I would....hurt you."

"Why wouldn't you hurt me if I found out you used me for sex all so you could win something. What was it that you won?"

"Captain of the quidditch team." He mumbled but I heard it.

"Wow. That's a great opportunity, congratulations." I said and shook my head and walked to the common room.

I did the code and everything to get inside, not listening to Cedric's lame excuses.

When I was inside I turned and looked at him.

"Honestly I don't wanna listen to this. Just enjoy the prize you got and the sex of course. You really succeeded."

"Baby I-"

"Just stop. You hurt me enough. We're done. I don't wanna hear more from you." I said and walked to my dorm.

When I got inside Ava was there.

"Hey why do you look so sad?" She asked.

I just started crying, finally letting it all out.

I can't believe he used me like that and that I didn't suspect anything about him suddenly speaking to me.

"You were right." I whispered as I felt her arms around.

She led me to my bed and made us both sit down.

"What was I right about?"

"He used me. I don't know who started this bet but I guess it was Justin or something."

"A BET?!" She shouted.

"Yeah..."

There was a knock on my door and when Ava opened it it was Cedric.

"Hi I-"

"Fuck off." Ava said before closing the door on his face.

"Jerk. What was the bet about?" She asked and brushed my hair out of my face.

"To get me to have sex with him." I muttered.

"Oh good I can't believe him."

"I do. It was kind of obvious. I mean why would he speak with me? I can't believe I thought that he actually liked me." I scoffed.

There was another knock on the door and this time Mia barged through the door and instantly hugged me.

"Sebastian told me. I'm so sorry."

I circled my arms around her neck and cried more.

The rest of the night we laid down in my bed and they tried to cheer me up with playing card games and tell me funny stories.

We fell asleep in weird positions all over the bed. Mia's arm were over my face and Ava rested her head on Mia's leg.

I heard voices and woke up. I couldn't move because I didn't wanna wake Mia up so I just listened.

"Did you know about this bet?" I heard Ava ask someone.

"Yeah." Sebastian answered.

"I can't believe you. I told you all this time that it was weird that Cedric and Katie were seeing each other and that Justin seemed a bit to excited when Katie was mentioned. And all this time you knew but instead you told me not to worry."

"I didn't want things to get ruined with them, Cedric really liked her."

"Oh he just liked her so much that he decided to make a bet on her body." She asked and I could imagine her placing her arms on her hips.

"I don't- I don't know."

"Just go Sebastian. I really don't feel like talking to you right now."

"What?"

"You lied to me and you let your friends hurt Katie like that. I don't wanna date someone who does that. I defended you to Cedric and told him you were the best guy at the school. Oh how wrong I was." She said and I heard the door close.

After that I closed my eyes as I tear fell.

I woke up and smiled when I felt Mia's arm not on my face.

I sat up and stretched my arms over my head.

What do I do now?
