it happened one too many times
he took her love for granted
left her heart all tangled and mattedhe knew it was wrong but that didn't
stop him from getting what he wantedhe played around with other girls
while she put on her dainty pearls
getting ready to take on the worldevery time it would knock her down
but then his charming smile
would come back aroundapologies slip off his tongue
like a drunk after too much rum
he thinks it'll work every time
he sticks himself to her like glue
or gum on the bottom of her shoe
but that boy has no clue
her heart is so damaged
which makes it hard to know what to doso i'll say it once or twice
or many even a million times
i hope she knows that she's
better off without you
