7:49 AM | SEOUL PARK
The tiny fireball had announced its entry of the day. For winter, its rays of gold were glistening upon the white snow. It woke the buried living beings and burn the innocent of the perpetrator. It was also an inviting sign for feet to wander and souls to laugh in the large park of Seoul.
Everyone, except for one person.
She stood in the middle of the park, dressed warmly in a black hooded-down jacket. It may look outworn, but who cares. She favoured it for its warmth.
The young woman was holding her phone while reading an email, line by line repeatedly, overjoyed with the information she received. Enough to make her want to jump in the snow and made snow angels that stretch out to the whole park.
Until...
A round mass of icy cold ball was smashed right at her forehead.
She hissed. "Yah! Jeon Jeongguk!" She yelled, rubbing off the leftover ice pricking her skin, accumulating on her brows, lids and tip of her nose.
Not far from her, stood the culprit who was laughing crazily.
"Love! Put that away. Have fun! That phone is third-wheeling on us."
She disregarded his soft plead and excitedly showed him the email she just received. "Look! Look! I got good news from the writer-nim. They have finalized everything! The director, the actors, and actress...everything!"
"I can't believe this, Ggukie. My story is coming to life. The line I wrote will be heard." She was wrapped in excitement. Just too overwhelmed, but that joyous thought was quickly overruled by the cloud of doubt.
Anxiety and doubt.
"....Well, this is just a small mini-drama. It probably wouldn't attract many viewers, what if the director want to change the script at the last minute, and—"
Jeongguk wrapped her large arms around her waist, pulled her in and planted a warm kiss on the crown of her head. Like magic, it silent the voice of her insecurity. He angled down and gently brush off the fine snow obstructing her delicate facial features.
"Don't ever doubt yourself, love. You took that first step and now you are achieving your dream. Every success story starts with something. And you are doing that something."
Y/N smiled at the heartwarming words she received. It was what she always needed for each time she feels like falling.
"Now," he tightened the grip on her back, smiling unapologetically at her being constricted. "Give this man more attention. He is desperate and that snowman isn't doing much of a job to entertain me."
He leaned down, expecting an amorous kiss suit for the romantic atmosphere of a morning date. Instead, he got a smack on his face with an unforeseen snowball, hidden on Y/N's palm all along.
"Right back at you, Jeon!" She escaped his embrace, laughing at his face before bolting away. Payback was coming at her.
"Curse you." He whimpered lowly.
Both of the pair had surrendered to the power of winter delight. What was planned to be a casual stroll had turned into amicable snowball fights. Their laughs and antic had caught the sight of a man across the street, holding two paper bags in his arms.
"Omo...Isn't that Y/N and her boyfriend. Jeon-something."
"What a sight." His eyes were pleased to see a loose, instead of tight face Y/N commonly see on campus.
