Chapter 28 | "The Perfect Chemistry" [FINALE]

It was a beautiful day in Seoul on the day of graduation.

The sun shone brightly in the sky, and the birds sang their sweet tunes as they flew above the campus. The grounds of the university were abuzz with excitement as the graduating students prepared to receive their diplomas.

Inside the auditorium, the faculty, alumni and other special guests were seated, eagerly awaiting the start of the ceremony. The faculty and graduates marched in, each wearing their respective academic regalia. As the procession wound its way through the auditorium, the applause grew louder, until it seemed as if the entire room was clapping in celebration. They received their diplomas one by one.

After the ceremony ended, the graduates wore their best smiles and posed for group shots and individual portraits outside the hall. There was laughter, hugs and lots of handshakes as people congratulated each other on their accomplishments. The flashes of cameras created a bright, strobing effect that lit up the scene. Graduates took turns taking selfies and group shots, sharing the moment with their friends and family.

Y/N was also included.

"You both make a cute couple." She cooed while taking a picture of Taehyung with Eunbi. However, the pair suddenly looked at each other before giggling to themselves. Y/N noticed the exchange.

"What?" she asked.

"Unnie, we are not a couple. We are just friends."

Y/N was at a total loss. Did she forget a memo? Missing the sign? Weren't they a pair? When did they break up?

"B-but. You guys, we both had our double date... Everland. Remember?"

"Oh, yes. Our first date. And also our last." Said Taehyung.

"We forgot to tell you after that hooded man fiasco," Eunbi added. "We hung out and got to know each other. It didn't feel quite right. So we came to terms to be just friends. We wanted to tell you, but after that incident, we kind of forgot to tell you."

"B-but. You guys are always around each other. Taehyung always picks you up and he went to your house multiple times!"

"Oh yes! I ask him for a favour. I wanted to add a new character to my webtoon, and, I wanted to make Taehyung oppa a reference. So, I studied him," Eunbi tiptoed closer and whispered.
"I mean, look at him. Perfect manhwa features." She eyed him up and down with an appreciative stare.

Sure Taehyung could listen to that compliment based on his protruded smug cheeks.

Y/N then pulled back. "Wait, are you saying that the new character, V, is Taehyung?!"

Eunbi nodded. Y/N peered over the man and now she could see the resemblance with the fictional characters that swept the online community. The character was handsome. But Taehyung was a hundred times better than the 2D character.

Y/N was still bummed out. How she could miss that little thing happening around her? Maybe Eunbi was right. Ever since that incident at Everland, her world had gone ruckus.

After snapping a few more pictures of them, Y/N was pulled aside by the grumbly Jeongguk. He had been patiently waiting to have his turn. This time, not just as a couple but also with their loved ones. He gently steered them to their parents. Mrs Jeon came prepared with her DSLR.

"Okay kids, closer. Come on, don't be shy. You guys are a certified couple, act like one!" Mrs Jeon directed, gesturing them to stand closer for an intimate photo.
