Y/N'S POV
1:34 PM | NEBOKGOM CAFE
Shin Woojin.
Shin Eugene..
Lewis-Shin Eugene...
Wait... was it Lewis-Shin Woojin?
A freezing cold touch stabbed my cheek, jolting me from my thoughts. I looked up to see Jeon Jeongguk standing before me, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.
"Welcome back to earth, my love," he said, handing me my ordered drink before taking a seat across from me. The café was mostly empty, with only a few other customers lingering around the counter, and light music playing in the background.
I huffed and joked. "I didn't know the earth has such a handsome human being. No wonder they act superior when their existence could only be treated as minuscule in this galaxy."
"Humans are complex, Love," Jeongguk sip his chocolate drink.
"Very complex," I agreed. "Smart and cunning, but also dangerous. They act as if this world is their stage, and they can't cut and repeat. Once a mistake is made, it's part of their history."
I took a sip of my drink, savouring the bitter yet addicting taste of the green tea. I leaned back in my chair, feeling comfortable at the moment.
"But humans may have made a mistake yesterday," I continued. "But that doesn't mean yesterday's them is not their true selves. It's these mistakes and faults that make humans, humans, and turns them into the brightest stars in their own constellation."
He smiled, probably agreeing with my notion.
We didn't know how we got so deep in our conversation, but it was always enjoyable to hear him dance with my words and take mental notes.
We exchanged glances and gestures as if we were on a secret date, but our time together was short-lived as we had to get back to our afternoon lectures.
Something suspicious caught my eye, however; two girls at Jeongguk's back were giggling. The left one would occasionally point her finger at him before being scolded by the other.
I knew Jeongguk was popular. There were dozens of flower boys at our university but he was certainly in his own lead. How could one not giggle and take a second look at his handsome face? After a while, I chose to ignore the girls and enjoyed our lunch together until my phone suddenly rang with Naomi's name on the screen. I slide the screen to the left and latched it to my ear. Before I could utter a word, she screamed at me first. A horrendous mad scream.
"Y/N! That man is dead! I already planning to dig his grave. He better surrender himself or not, I will hunt him down!"
Naomi kept shouting so I had to distance myself from the phone. Her voice was too loud that even Jeongguk could catch on with every word she blasted on.
"Calm down," my words overlapped with her shouting. "Tell me who ruin your day?"
"Who? WHO? Whoooo??!! It's that boy, Jeon Jeongguk!!"
My gaze instantly shot at the man in front of me. He looked innocently confused.
Now, there were multiple times that Jeongguk and Naomi engaged in a small fight. Small - I asserted - , nothing physical. Just verbal. But at those time, there were zero occurrences where Naomi would use words of profanity nor make a bluff "dead" threat to him. So this time, it must be serious.
He must do something wrong or maybe Naomi had misinterpreted something. Just some misunderstanding where I need to hear both sides of the story before either one of them could pull my arms to either side like a worn-out doll.
