(Y/N) was quite confused at the moment.
Spinning in his chair, albeit with a small amount of confusion in his mind, (Y/N) typed on his computer--created by Anti-Entropy for all who worked for or were affiliated with them--and searched up his scheduled tasks today. Going to his profile (which, unlike the other ones, had a unique name: that being, quote, "Tesla's toy"), he searched up just what he was supposed to do during the morning, afternoon, and evening, but was quite surprised to find that there was absolutely nothing but one:
"Meet Tesla and Einstein at 4:PM, don't be late."
It wasn't necessarily weird or unpleasant for him to spend time with Tesla. Hell, he was sure that Tesla had something going on for him despite the extraordinary age gap between him and her (for exposition: he was nineteen, and he was pretty sure Tesla was more than sixty years old), but that didn't mean that he scorned the time he spent with her or Einstein, it just made things much more awkward when one of them--most of the time being Einstein--would bring the fact up, and (Y/N) would have to act like he didn't know anything about it.
Most of the time they spent together, or as a group, was usually spent doing three things: repairing mechs, writing up reports, or testing out new experiments, and usually it would say on the tasks list which one of those things they'd be doing.
But this time--there was nothing. The entire report was vague, almost scarily so, and had an intense aura of mystery attached to it. Typically, there would be some random garble formed by Tesla or a lengthy description of what activities they were doing for the day by Einstein, but today? There wasn't even a single word on the digital screen before him, the light shining deep into his eyes, reflecting their color onto the screen.
Alas, it was not like him to investigate so profoundly into a matter that could be solved by following the order he received, and, like almost every other day, he took a sip of his water from the mug that was on his table, and wrote on the report:
"Alright, see you there."
And then, as if he wasn't even on there in the first place, he turned the computer off, immediately going towards the bed behind him and laying on it with his face directly on the sheets, letting out a large sigh.
"Hah..." (Y/N) exhaustedly let out, gripping the sides of his bedsheets while breathing into them, trying to keep it still. "Why did I accept this proposal from Welt? I've gotten so much work from those two in the last four weeks, it's not even funny..."
Taking out his phone to check the time and also to see if he could take a nap, there was around seven hours left before he had to go to his meeting with the two scientists.
The time he had left before his meeting meant that he could indeed spend some time sleeping in, and so, he tucked into his bed while going on his phone and setting an alarm clock for five hours, putting it on his bedside table and closing his eyes, letting the realm of dreams take him, but not before saying one last thing.
...
"I hope I wake up on time; I was almost forty minutes to my meeting the last time I slept in! Hope I don't get a mouthful from Tesla again if that happens..." praying with his two hands for a quick second in hopes of not letting that happen, (Y/N) relaxed while breathing in a large chunk of air and exhaling it at the same speed he inhaled it: slow and steady. And with that intake of air and the silence that buzzed across the room, (Y/N) fell asleep, ready to face whatever dream would come into his mind.
