The first word and a few happy memories

Aadhira was 7 months old by now
Mandavi was with Aadhira in bharma's chamber
She was sitting on her dressing table's chair and hira was crawling around
Hira went up to her mother: uaiqnaok
Mandavi; hungry?
Hira shook her head
Bharat: me?
Hira screamed happily:papa
Bharat went up to her and picked her up
Bharat: hira?! Say that again
Mandavi: she said mama
Bharat: no she didn't, she said pa-pa= papa not pa-pa=mama
Hira: PAPA
Bharat: see
Mandavi: okay okay,my lord
Kaushalya: putra you are finally here?
Bharat: how do you all always come at the correct time, you all came at such a good time!!!
Sumitra: why? What happened
Bharat: hira said her first word
Kaushalya takes bharatnandini in her arms
Kaushalya: hira?
Aadhira: Papa
Kaushalya smiles
Aadhira: papa
Sumitra: papa?!
Bharat; yes, me
Shatrughan: shrutkirti lost, yesssssssss
Shrutkirti: I'll give it to you in ur room
Sumitra: huh? Why are you so happy as if you just won a war
Shatrughan: so we placed a bet on Aadhira's first word, I said it will be papa and kushadwajasutaa said it will be mama, and I won
Kaushalya: you will never reform but you too, kirti?
Shrutkirti: this time, the bet was actually ok
Keykeyi who was busy thinking of decorating Ayodhya finally spoke:
Keykeyi: DASIS, DISTRIBUTE SWEETS ALL AROUND AYODHYA
Kaushalya: well, you should also tell the news to ram, he and the other two would be so happy to hear this?!
Sumantra: Maharani, The three aren't there anymore where we left them, they left to go explore the forest even more
Kaushalya: ahh yes, typical Ram, he stayed there for long enough I guess
Keykeyi: aadhira
Aadhira: Papa
Keykeyi smiles: Bharat's first word was bhaiya, so was Ram's, Laxman's and Shatru's so?
Shrutkirti: if I am sure then maan didi's first word was Paa
Mandavi: no, I said papa
Shrutkirti: no, pitaji said it was Paa
Mandavi: mata said it was papa
Shrutkirti: no, it was Paa
Urmila: hmm, sita di-
Bharat: was also Papa?
Mandavi looks at Urmila: nalayk, didi's first Word was Mata
Urmila: was it?!
Aadhira: Papa
Bharat picks the child, who was trying to become the center of attention, up and hugs her
Bharat: yes?
Aadhira: papa
Mandavi: so I think we should teach her words, if she goes around saying papa, it would be a bit of a problem
Shrutkirti: why didi?
Sumitra: because putri, what if she calls you papa, or Shatru?  Or even Mandavi?
Shrutkirti looks at the child;  teach her to say mata, she can call me mata and Shatru papa
Mandavi gives that "I am the mother and you are the aunt not vice versa" stare
Shrutkirti: okay okay
Kaushalya: have you decided if you want to be called masi or chachi?
Shrutkirti: choti maa
Mandavi: nice try, but no
Shrutkirti: okay didi, chachi
Bharat: lovely
Shatrughan: and I am chacha
Mandavi: lovely
Aadhira: papa
Bharat held his daughter in his arms, watching as she happily said "papa". There were two moments when he had felt this way, the first being when Mandavi had said I love you and the second being this moment where his daughter called him papa

(Flashback as to when Mandavi confessed as Bharat was too shy)

Mandavi: Where is the Rajkumar? Dasi, did you give him the right place and time?
Dasi: ji Rajkumari, I gave him the place and time you had told me to give him
Mandavi was worried, the reason she had asked a Dasi to call Rajkumar Bharat was because she was too shy to do so herself. She had wanted to do this to someone someday but mainly after she had realised she had feeling for the 2nd Prince of Kosala. She couldn't stop herself from falling in love. The fearless princess was fearing something at this moment and that was the fear of being rejected. She had practiced all night for this, managed to look great, not look sleepy and had stayed princessly whilst walking past her mother who had given her a unusual smile for she knew how unusual it was to catch Mandavi walking princessly in the palace where she grew up.

Elsewhere
Bharat had been shocked to the core after the Dasi had told him to go to the courtyard by the request from Rajkumari Mandavi. He had a worried expression on his face and was walking there in tension. You see, this was the day after the kings of both nations had betrothed the young shy couple to one another:
What if she rejected me? What is if she didn't like me? What if she liked someone else? No! My brothers have themselves said that they can tell she loves me! So do I tell her I love her, or does she tell me first? Ughhhh, what do I do!!! What does the Rajkumari want?
He had thought whilst travelling to the courtyard that was located behind the palace in the garden where the lotus grew. He had entered when Mandavi's back was facing him. Surprisingly, the princess could not feel the arrival and the prince's gaze on her due to her heavy thoughts. She had barely even noticed the prince standing next to her as she started the flower intensely.
Bharat looked at her. He could just look at her face. His decency and principles only allowed him to look at her face. He was confused. The way the princess was lost in thought discombobulated him and he grew curious. He wanted to say something but this artistic prince of Ayodhya, could do quite a few things but that did not include starting a conversation! He had thought it was best to clear his throat and so
"Ahem ahem"
Mandavi quickly arose from her deep thoughts, turned around and saw a confused Bharat straring at her.
Oh my! I never noticed him. What would he say? What is he thinking right now?  That Rajkumari Mandavi is so clueless and stays in her little dreamland all the time! Wait! Why am I thinking like this! Why should I worry about what this Rajkumar thinks about me? Wait but isn't he my future husband? Wait no! Not if he is about to reject me?! Oh Lord, please don't do this to me. He is so perfect, I can't lose him, he is so humble and kind. Wait no! He isn't any of that is he is about to reject him! Wait, maan! You invited him here! He would probably be thinking that you would want to reject him, better say something then, shouldn't you? 
"I-"
"Sorry-"
Mandavi looked at the prince in confusion.
"Sorry?!" SORRY?! he had said sorry?! Doesn't this mean? Oh my lord, he is about to reject me!!! I knew it, Mandavi, don't cry, be bold
Wait no, she should try to prove herself worthy
But why should she? Shouldn't he prove himself worthy of me? No, if I did something wrong, I must apologise, and prove myself right, yes that's what I should do, oh my, mata and badi maa would be so proud of me right now, and so would sita di,
"I am sorry if I have upset you Rajkumar, I won't be like this after marriage, just give me a chance, I won't speak as Much, I won't complain, I won't gather evidence against Urmila and blackmail blackmail her, I won't mix chilli powder into that Shatrughan's food. I won't tease sita di, I won't go around plucking flowers and putting them in our room, I won't threaten you that i'll go to my maternal home again,  please don't reject me. I love you"
Bharat looked at her in awe and blushed a little
" no Rajkumari, don't apologise, I wasn't even going to reject you, since you had invited me here, I thought you would reject me"
Mandavi looked at him apologetically and sadly, of course, you dumb kitten! He would obviously have thought so, after all, you were the one to have invite him, heaven knows why you were so scared that he would reject you when he was so scared himself
Mandavi: no! I wouldn't even do so in my dreams
Bharat smiled at her: so we will get married?
Mandavi: yes but-
Bharat: but?
Mandavi: but I can still do everything I had listed earlier right?
Bharat: yes
Mandavi: thanks, I can't wait for the wedding
Bharat *full on blushes*: thanks and same and I LOVE YOU
He runs off in a bright shade of red
Mandavi wondered out loud: what did she do that he is so shy, oh well, it's cute and ahhhh!!
She shrieked as a spider came in front of her
Urmila: hahaha, fell for it nah!?
Mandavi realised it was a fake spider
Mandavi: what the treta yug, urmi???!!!!
Urmila burst into laughter and mockingly said: WhAt ThE hElL UrMi!!! Oh come on di, everyone knows we love pranking everyone
Mandavi: that's true
Urmila sitting on as tree branch: so Rajkumar confessed?
Mandavi: more like I did? Give me the credit, He was was a bit shy and blushed a bit, you know?
Urmila: wow, as expected from the bold and fearless Rakshasi
Mandavi: well maybe another bold and an actual Rakshasi may come and try to make your darling fall in love with her?
Urmila: I will cut that witch's nose off before she can even touch him
Mandavi: oh really? Maybe I'll go and get Rekha back From the ashram and go and tell her about you and Saumitra?
Urmila: hell no didi, should i tell my soon to be jiju about your little embroidery gift for him?
Mandavi; no, that's for me to give to him on our wedding night!!
if one was extremely silent and listened carefully,  one could hear the muffled laughs of the two youngest princes.
Lakshman: now who is Rekha?
Shatrughan: I think she is princess of kalinga?
Lakshman: very helpful!
Shatrughan: i agree
Mandavi: shhh, I know you two were listening so please keep this a secret?
Lakshamn and Shatrughan: ji bhabhi
Mandavi blushed a little at the word
Of course maan, now you are two boys' bhabhi, sister-in-law, brothers wife. She smiled lightly and left

End of flashback

Mandavi had smiled at the memory and looked at Aadhira and at the rest of the family,  she was thankful for behind able to give everyone a smile during these hard endless tests
