"Good morning, I made cinnamon rolls they're in the oven." River chirped happily, greeting Thea. Last night was simply a catastrophe for him. But he'd got through it, and it didn't bring him any actual problems. So he didn't care to mention it. But if this was going to occur often, he knew he'd have to man up and attempt to have a conversation about it.Thea smirked rubbing her hands together "Oh really, don't mind if I do." Crossing the kitchen she swiftly opened the oven where a tray of cinnamon rolls sat. They looked as if they had been cooked to absolute perfection. Thea eagerly grabbed one taking the largest bite her mouth could withstand. "Mm." She grumbled whilst chewing. "T-thi—shit good."
River chirped, "Really? I figured I'd give my mom's recipe a try."
"Hell yea. If you keep cooking like this i'ma need a couple meals per day." Thea joked, very appreciative that River could and loved cooking. There's nothing better than a home cooked meal in her eyes. And so far River had been supplying just that. His breakfast foods were literally to die for.
"Well I wouldn't mind." River smiled, teeth glistening, "You should join me for dinner one of these days." River silently hoped that the offer would tempt her.
"Count me in, I'll be here tonight! I'm deflee' tryna' get a taste of whatever you whip up. "
"Oh really~" River smirked, "well what's one of your favorite foods then?"
"Lasagna." Thea responded quickly, grinning to herself.
"Lasagna." She repeated again, her facial features contorting to the smallest frown, "ian had that shit since..." River watched waiting for her to finish speaking. But she blinked once and it was almost like all the emotion had disappeared from her face. "Yea..lasagna, if you can make that, I would appreciate you for forever."
"That's all you had to say Thea, I got you!"
A couple hours had passed since breakfast. River went to his usual morning class. Stopped for Starbucks afterwards—which had basically became apart of his daily routine. It was something about that venti lemonade, four pumps of raspberry, and passion tea that always did it for him. It was the perfect refresher for him after sitting in a little over a hour long class.
Now he was on to his second course: textile science.
"So...what's your name?" River blinked twice turning to address the voice. His eyes scanned over the young blonde woman in front of him.
"Oh hi, I'm River, and you are?"
"Jade Bellafonté. This is my first year seeing you, so I figured I'd introduce myself."
River outstretched his hand offering a light smile to the Bella. Seeing her royal blue eyes sparkle at the sight. "Nice to meet you Jade."
"Really the pleasure is all mine." She responded in a playful tone, presenting her amazingly white teeth. "Well I have to get back to my things, however feel free to come find me if you ever have any questions. Whether it be in regards to our facility or just this class."
"Of course of course" River grinned turning back to the tiles in front of him. He wanted to knock this assignment out of the way so he wouldn't have much to worry about once it was time to go home.
