Levi sighed as he settled back in his bed, reclining into the pillows against his headboard. It had been a long day at the office, with last-minute problems occurring more than once. He prided himself on his ability to deal with such obstacles quickly, and today had been no exception. The stress still ate away at him little by little, leaving his energy very depleted by the time he got home. After having a hot shower and changing into comfortable clothes, he'd felt better. It had been his plan to take an evening catnap, but a single phone call from his boyfriend had changed that. He suddenly found just enough stray energy for something other than resting.
"I appreciate you coming out to see me like this," Levi said warmly, "after all, not many doctors make house calls anymore."
Erwin gave a white smile, flexing his hands in the huge pockets of his doctor jacket as he hovered over Levi. "Neither do I, generally. Only in special cases."
Levi arched a playful eyebrow at the other man.
"Does that mean I'm special, doctor?" He asked, trying to make his tone as honest as he could. Whether or not he succeeded, Erwin seemed pleased with the question, and patted him on the arm.
"Absolutely."
Unlike Levi, Erwin sounded completely sincere.
Though, it might be hard for Erwin to feel anything other than elation, as he'd delivered a baby the day before. The mother had had a difficult pregnancy, and he was still beaming with pride by how smoothly it went. He'd gone on and on about what a success it was since the night before; the mother had been so brave, the boy had been feisty and a healthy weight, the father had been a mess but supportive, and so on. The work had tired Erwin, but he'd made up for it by sleeping in today, meaning that he currently had much more energy than Levi did.
Erwin felt Levi's forehead with the back of his hand, taking his pulse with the other. "Don't you have a fancy thermometer to take my temperature, instead of using your hand?"
"I seem to have misplaced my thermometer." Erwin explained calmly. "Skin on skin contact can still be enough to determine whether you're running a fever. Which you aren't. Your pulse seems fine too. Can you sit up for me? I'd like to check your lungs."
"I just got comfortable, do I really have to?" Erwin gave him a falsely apologetic face, and he nodded. Levi made a very bothered sound, and then turned victimized eyes upward. "Help me?"
The blond man looked like he would laugh at the suggestion, but he also enjoyed Levi's show of helplessness as he patiently pulled him into a sitting position. Erwin then sat next to Levi on the mattress and fiddled with the stethoscope around his neck.
"Alright, let's take a listen."
One large hand rested on Levi's shoulder, the warmth seeping through his thin grey t-shirt as flat end of the stethoscope was pressed lightly over the center of his chest. He remembered how much he'd enjoyed that sensation during their first scene, all those months ago.
"Let me guess; 'deep breath'?" Levi asked, lifting his nose haughtily. Erwin nodded.
"Easy as you can for me."
Levi did, closing his eyes when Erwin moved the disc a few times, each time muttering 'again', 'once more', or, 'and, another big one for me'.
This was exactly why Levi loved doctor role play; the intense personal attention and gentle handling. Erwin treated him with care and love at all times, but in their role play it turned him on like no other scenario. He loved this amazing bedside manner shifting into pleasure, and how effortlessly Erwin played the part for him. The man could actually convince Levi that he was a platonic physician, avoiding Levi's attempts to tease him and keeping things as professional as he could manage. That somehow made Levi want him even more.
