Yay!! My writers block ended and I finished the chapter. Sorry for the wait. ON WITH THE STORY! :D
Chapter Seven
Abby took Ty, who had fallen asleep and the rest of us went outside. Tom only after he had kissed Abby. People came out and formed a half circle. All of the people here had the air of a fighter. The twins walked out of the trees with a man in between them. Daniel was a russet wolf while David walked in his human form. My eyes went towards the man walking between them. His green eyes met mine and he stopped. I moved towards him but felt Giovanni’s hand stop me. “Naomi?” The man asked. “I can’t believe you’re alive.” Giovanni growled.
“How do you know my mate?” He was glaring at the man. Giovanni advanced on him as he was still staring at me and didn’t look like he cared to answer. I continued to look into his eyes before it all hit me. My head throbbed one last time before I felt a connection form.
“Giovanni, stop.” I said. He looked at me over his shoulder as if I was insane. “He’s my twin brother.” All eyes turned to me as I moved forward.
“You have a brother?” David asked in confusion. I didn’t look at him instead I looked at Giovanni.
“Jeffery.” I said the name and realization lit up in Giovanni’s eyes.
“May I talk to my twin or are you still going to rip my head off.” Jeffery asked Giovanni. Giovanni glared at him but stepped to the side. “Jeesh werewolves and their possessiveness. I’m a werewolf I don’t even get it.” He rolled his eyes with a lopsided smile at me. I lunged forward and threw my arms around him. He stumbled backwards but soon chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. “I missed you too, Small Fry.” He said as we released each other. I pursed my lips at him as Giovanni pulled me against his chest.
“Chill Puppy.” I patted his head as if he was a puppy and he growled at me as Jeffery laughed. Memories were flooding back of fun times Jeffery and I had.
“Why didn’t you come to her before now?” Giovanni asked, turning serious.
“I thought she was dead all these years.” Jeffery’s smile faded as he turned serious as well. A memory surfaced.
I sat at the table with Jeffery. Mom sat in front of us. She was smiling happily. “Mommy why can I hear Rey’s thoughts.” I asked.
“Because you’re not human children. When you were born you had this connection and you always will.” She ruffled my hair. “So if you can’t feel the others presence that means that they are either no longer with us or a witch has blocked them.”
“So it’s bad if we can’t hear each other?” Rey asked. Mom nodded.
“I don’t think that’s something you’ll have to worry about that any time soon.” She ruffled his hair before standing to cook.
“Since I’m not dead then someone blocked the connection.” I said as I looked at Rey. He nodded.
“If I had known you were alive I would’ve never left. After the attack I freaked. I didn’t know what to do or where to go and I couldn’t hear you.”
“Who would block it though?” Giovanni asked. Lavender. I tilted my head into it as did Rey. ‘Someone who is on your side.’ The comforting voice said to both of us.
“Someone who’s on our side.” Rey said.
“How can you be certain?” Dad stepped up.
