Chapter 16

Sorry I'm a bit late again everyone. I had some writers block and couldn't figure out what I wanted for this chapter but it's all better now. Enjoy! :)

Chapter 16

    I looked around me at everything. I was back, in the clearing where my parents had died.  The tiger lilies were all around me, bowing with the wind. Something was different this time. I heard a child laughing. I turned and gasped, my hands lifting up to cover my mouth, as I saw a beautiful little boy running towards Giovanni. He had the same dirty blonde hair. When he reached Giovanni he lunged at him. Giovanni laughed and easily caught the little boy. He lifted him into the air and tossed him up a bit before pulling the boy into his arms for a hug. Even from here I could see the love and pride in his eyes. I smiled as I dropped my hands from my mouth. My hands brushed agains the sides of my stomach but they felt different. I looked down and stared in complete shock. My belly was swollen out. I rested my hands gently on my stomach and laughed when I felt life move inside of me. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at Selene as she stood beside me. "All of this can be yours but you and Jeffrey must be ready. They are coming. Soon." She faded away as her words echoed around me.

   I jolted awake. Giovanni was already awake and he sat up beside me, watching me closely. He lifted his hand up and brushed a tear I hadn't realize I had shed off of my face. "Good or bad?" He asked gently.

   "Both. More good." I lunged at him, my arms wrapping around his neck. He burried his head into my neck as he held me. "We were at the clearing where my parents died." His grip on me tightened and he growled lightly. I nipped his shoulder to silence him. "I heard a child laughing and when I turned I watched our son running to you." He stilled completely and I felt his curiosity spike. "We were relaxed and happy. I didn't notice it at first but I was pregnant." He growled possessively at me. "Then Selene showed up and told me that they are coming soon."

   "We'll be ready. We've all been training and preparing." I smiled at him and nodded, pulling back from him to press my lips to his. He returned the kiss with a growl that turned me on. He growled again but more forcefully, making sure I knew that he had felt my lust. He nipped my bottom lip and I gladly opened up for him. His tongue swept into my mouth and I moaned at him. He flipped us over and settled between my legs. He was leaning down to kiss me when we heard the front door slam open and angry voices. I sighed as I recognized Abby's voice and went to move. "Leave it." Giovanni growled. 

   "I can't. It's Abby and when she's pissed she doesn't care what you're doing she'll..." I was cut off when our bedroom door was opened forcefully. "Do that." I muttered as I slid out from under Giovanni. I met Abby's angry eyes and saw the red rims around them. I grabbed the shirt that I had tossed on the floor last night and pulled it on as I walked over towards her. "Abby?" I spoke gently as I saw Tom come up behind her. She lunged at me and hugged me to her.

   "What happened?" Giovanni growled as he walked towards us. I cast a look at him and smiled slightly when I saw that he had put on boxers.

   "She wants to use Wolfsbane." Tom growled back. Abby's arms tightened around me as I tried to understand what they were saying. 

   "Wolfsbane? As in the herb thats supposed to have some bad affect on wolves?" I asked.

   "Not exactly." Giovanni looked at me gently. He wasn't angry anymore. Now there was only concern and understanding. "Wolfsbane turns humans into werewolves when injected into the blood stream. If it were to be used against a werewolf then it simply forces us to human form for a while, depending on how much got into the blood."

    "It'll kill her." Tom growled again. I looked back to him. "Not all humans survive the process." Abby had stayed silent but I could feel her body trembling.

   "So you won't let her use it." He growled at me. I growled back at him as my anger sparked. "Normal humans don't have a part angel best friend nor do they have witches blood."

   "I can't stand the thought of siting at home again, hoping you come back to me." Abby spoke softly in a chocked voice but didn't move from my arms. "I want to be with you, to have more of a connection and I'm not the only human who wants this but is getting pushed around by her mate." Anger made her voice stronger and she jerked out of my arms. She spun to face Tom with a glare on her face. Instinctively my mind reached out to hers. We didn't speak. She simply let me go through her mind with complete trust in me. I pulled back after what felt like minutes but had actually been only a few seconds.

   "Let her." I spoke up before Tom could saying anything.

   "She's being rash." Tom jerked his eyes to me. "She doesn't really want this."

   "Don't!" Snow's voice mixed with mine as she made herself known. "Never tell her how she feels. I already know her feelings towards it and I said let her do it." The both of us growled as an edge tipped our voice. I vaguely recognized it as the Alpha voice but I didn't think of it at the moment. Tom shuddered as his head bowed in submission. Giovanni stared at me and I let everything connect with him. Understanding flashed in his eyes and he nodded to me.

    "I'll wake Dan up." He muttered as he moved away. "And Olivia." He moved out the door, grabbing Tom as he went. I moved to the closet and pulled on some comfy clothes before I followed him with Abby. When I got down to the living room it had Rey, Olivia, Tom, Dan and Giovanni standing or sitting there. Dan held a case in his hands and he set it on the coffee table.

    "The transformation will be quick. Wolfsbane works fast but it is painful. Are you two sure you want this?" He looked at Abby and then Olivia. Both nodded. "Alright. Which one is going first?" He asked. Olivia stepped forward first and I watched as Rey's lips pressed into a thin line. He wouldn't look at me but I understood. He didn't know what had caused me to make this decision. I watched as Olivia laid down on the couch and was injected with a blue liquid.

   Soon her eyes closed and I moved over to her. I felt my hands glow red as I acted on instinct. I touched the side of her head as she let out a small whimper. Pain shot thought me as the connection formed and my eyes closed. I knew what I had to do. I took on most of the pain as she began to thrash and her bones shifted. Her entire body was in complete shambles. Her cells were mutating to change from human to werewolf. I felt my own body shaking with hers as the pain shot through us both. I clenched my teeth in an effort not to scream while Olivia whimpered. I could feel that she didn't have any control of her body as the cracking continued. I felt every one of my bones snapping and shifting but I knew that it wasn't me. She continued to whimper slightly as her body began to settle. I felt the pain lessening until it wasn't even there. That was when I opened my eyes and smiled at the sand colored wolf half laying on the couch, half standing on the floor. She gave me a wolf grin and then turned towards Rey. Rey was staring at her in awe. I had to admit that she looked good as a wolf, it suited her. Rey smiled at her and then looked up at me in gratitude. I smiled at him before he moved towards the door with her to take her on a run.

   "Next one." Dan said after staring at me in shock for a moment longer. I noticed Giovanni had moved down beside me now that my attention wasn't directed solely on Olivia. I smiled at him as Abby laid down. Her eyes met mine and I smiled at her. She was injected with the wolfsbane and I made the connection faster this time. My concentration on protecting her child. I took on as much of the pain as I could but she had more pain then Olivia had gone through. In the end both of us were whimpering and I barely felt Giovanni wrap his arms around me. By the time it was over my body ached beyond anything I had ever experienced. My eyes landed on a very red wolf before the darkness surrounded me.
