Epilogue

6 years later.

    Life had been good to us. Nicole had decided to move on after the birth of my son, Theo. He was beautiful, blue eyes with dirty blonde hair. He seemed to be constantly finding a way to get everything he owned dirty. This was the first time I had been able to go back to the clearing. The first time I was able to look at the tiger lilies growing there without seeing them covered in blood. I was at peace now. Giovanni was currently throwing Theo into the air and catching him. I smiled at the sight of them and I loved hearing Theo's joyous squeals and laughter. Giovanni was as good of a father as I had expected him to be. Part of me wanted to get up off of the blanket the we had spread out beside the tiger lilies while the other part was content just watching my boys. That part of me also didn't want to have to struggle to get up and have to try multiple times. Needless to say that was a bit of laziness kicking in but at the moment I couldn't care.

    I smiled as I looked down at my ever growing belly. One thing that I hadn't expected from the dream I had so long ago with Selene was that I would be having twins. My belly was even bigger than it had been with Theo and I was only 5 months along. I rested a hand on my belly and looked back up at my boys. Giovanni was laughing as he tickled Theo in his arms. Suddenly Theo let out a loud squeal and managed to break away from Giovanni. "Mommy!" He squealed as he raced to me. "It's the tickle monster!" I laughed as I hugged Theo to me. He gasped when one of his siblings kicked where he was leaning on my belly. "Hey!" He looked at my belly. "You can't do that until you're here!" He said in a huff. "Remember we had a deal." Giovanni smiled as he sat beside us and set his hand on my belly.

    "You'll have plenty of time to get back at them once they're out and big enough." He soothed Theo.

     "I'm sure all three of you will play and tease each other you're whole lives." I kissed Theo's cheek. "They're just taking advantage of being in my belly right now to get a head start." Theo hugged me and I heard a familiar voice call out.

    "Don't worry, little man. I'll help you get some ideas later." Rey's said as he walked up to us with his pregnant Olivia beside him. She was due any day now and slightly miserable but she always had a smile on her face despite everything.

    "Uncle ReyRey!" Theo squealed and ran over to him. Rey caught him and lifted him up before helping Olivia sit down on the other side of me.

     "How's the little one treating you?" I asked her as she heaved a sigh.

    "She's being a pain. Just like her father!" She raised her voice slightly at the last part and Rey grinned at her as he played with Theo. Theo took advantage of the distraction and jumped on Rey. Rey fell over as if he had just been tackled and let out a groan. Theo giggle and sat on Rey's belly.

    "I did it!" He yelled as he threw his little hands into the air in victory.

    "How are your little ones?" Olivia asked me.

    "They are even more like their father than Theo was." I grinned at her as Giovanni gave a gasp of hurt that was so pitifully faked I almost started laughing. I looked at him as he pressed a hand to his chest.

     "That hurts!" He said in mock outrage. I giggled along with Olivia.

    "God she should do that more often!" Abby said from behind him. Her own little boy, Alphonse, saw Theo attacking Rey and wiggled out of his mothers grip to join him.

     "I agree. Wound his ego, Naomi!" Tom smiled at us and gave Olivia and I a playful wink which earn him a smack from Abby.

     "You have been spending to much time with my mate!" Giovanni pointed a finger at Abby. "She's becoming just as mean as you!"

      "Well, he's got that backwards." Olivia snickered. I bit back my laughter. "Naomi is usually the mastermind behind all the rudeness and Abby just steals all her thunder." I cracked up at.

      "She's a little thunder-whore." I grinned up at her. She rolled her eyes at me.

     "Only because you have some great ideas." She sat beside Olivia. "Besides you're just jealous you didn't think of it first." She stuck her tongue out at Olivia childishly. Now that she had sat down you could see her own little baby bump starting. I couldn't help the laughter that bubbled up. They all looked at me.

    "Finding something amusing?" Giovanni looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

     "A trio of pregnant chicks arguing about who the mastermind is." I giggled. "It's not something you would expect from pregnant chicks."

     "Well you aren't exactly a normal trio of pregnant chicks." Another voice called out. I turned and saw Daniel with Julia.

     "Damn straight!" Olivia, Abby and I said back in unison. We grinned at each other and busted out laughing. Giovanni groaned. I looked at him with raised eyebrows.

     "Why is it that everytime we plan a family outing the whole pack seems to show up?" He gave a playful glare at everyone around us.

     "Cause we're all one big family!" Rey yelled as he held Theo and Alphonse in the air, one kid in each hand. We all laughed. Oh yeah, life had been quite kind to us after all that gloom and doom. I think we all deserved a nice big break with our growing families. Soon enough our little family outing did have the whole pack there in the clearing. Kids played around everyone and we all talked and joked as a pack. Then excitement broke out when Olivia's water finally broke. We rushed her to the pack doctors clinic and waited outside for the news. I remember when Theo was born I had practically crushed Giovanni's hand and I was hoping that Olivia would have it easier than the 12 hours it took me.

7 hours later

    Well I got my wish. It was 7 hours later was Rey came out holding his little girl. He grinned at the pack as we had all waited, only leaving to go to the bathroom or to get the stuff from the clearing so that we could move the picnic to in front of the building. Rey held his little girl up. "Everyone meet little Eliza Lee Montgomery!" He called out. He was met with cheers and congrats. Since I was blood family and Luna I was the first to go see her. She was beautiful. Cute chubby cheeks with a mop of black hair on her head. I smiled at my niece and kissed her forehead. I picked Theo up so that he could see his cousin. "She's so babyish." He looked at me. "When will she be big enough to join me and Al?" He asked.

    "Not for a while." Rey chuckled.

    "Well I suppose she's cute, for a girl." He smiled at us. I laughed and set him back down.Then I went to see Olivia, leaving Theo in the hands of Grandma. I smiled at her as I saw her resting slightly. I knew that she was just like I had been when Giovanni had taken Theo to meet the pack so soon after us having him. I held her hand and smiled.

    "She's beautiful." I said.

    "Thank you." She smiled at me. "WIll you stay with me while I wait for them to get back?"

    "Of course. I know exactly what you're feeling. I thought I was going to have to go out there and kill someone to get my baby back in my arms." I chuckled.

     "Does it ever go away?"

    "No but it does lessen a bit over time. Sometimes I have to send Theo to his Grandparents or tell him to annoy his father." I sat in the chair beside her. "This will be the worst of it since it's so soon after having her."

     "Oh thank God. I couldn't stop thinking that if this level of protectiveness stayed I would end up killing someone to get her back." I laughed.

     "It'll seem like forever and if you're like me you'll cry when you get her back as if you hadn't seen her in forever." She groaned but still smiled at me. It was good to be able to see little Eliza and knowing that we could all rest easier without all threats on our lives. Knowing that soon enough my twins would be here and that they would have a big brother along with a large pack to protect them and make sure they were happy. I couldn't wait to meet them and to have them meet their sibling and family.
