I do my best to encourage Spike to sleep, he does his best but keeps flinching the moment a new memory appears. His hold on me tightens like I'm his life line, my heart continues to break. I should've never done this to him, he doesn't deserve this, he was perfect the way he was. I'm certain he didn't need his soul for us to still be together, yes I would've been suffering but I'd rather it be me than him. A pathetic laugh escapes my mouth, I could be a fucking poet going on about love and pain and sacrifice.
"Y/n." Spike whimpers snapping me out of my thoughts, he's not even a shadow of his old self. "Why are you with me? I've done such terrible things, your so sweet, so kind. I'm a monster."
"You aren't a monster. You are the man I love. Everything you've done was in the past it's not who you are ." I watch as his aura shifts from a depressive self loathing fear to as close to tranquillity as it can given his state of mind.
I notice know that his soul has been returned every emotion, every pull I have towards him is so much stronger now it's very overwhelming.
"I love you Y/n Summers." Spike sighs finally settling clinging onto me his head resting on my chest before nuzzling my breasts to make himself more comfortable.
Gently I caress his now slightly messed up hair while trying to keep my heart rate steady this man is my soulmate without me beside him now he'll be broken beyond repair I can't let that happen to him. I also however can't be the person he needs me to be, not completely, not until that knowledge is long gone. Whilst staying as still as I can I reach over to my phone sending Tara my request.
Y/n: I need you and Willow to do that spell tomorrow xx
Tara: So soon? xx
Y/n: Yes, I can't be everything he needs to recover if I keep thinking about it xx
Tara: Okay N/n I'll talk with Willow. Night xx
Y/n: Night xx
