Everyone decided to stay the night, I mean they might as well just move in with us, we've got enough room and they spend all of their time here anyway so it wouldn't make a huge difference. Buffy insisted that if Spike was refusing to leave he'd have to stay in our basement but I decided to make up the sofa for him just in case he actually wanted somewhere comfortable to rest. I stuck to the simple things like a couple of blankets and a few extra cushions so that Buffy wouldn't find it odd.

"Hey." Tara's soft voice called from behind me as I tried to subtly rearrange the couch.

"Oh, hey Tara what's up?" I say dropping the cushions as I turned around.

"Willow and I think it's time for a chat, we've been in the magic game longer than you but it's obvious how much power you posses, you're more like the advanced witches we read about and I just don't want us to lose you to magic."

"You have nothing to worry about Tara I just use it when I'm required to-"

"That you're aware of." Tara intruded.

I gazed at her concerned expression her aura showed me a great deal of distress whilst she kept her blue eyes locked on my e/c ones.

"Y/n, Tara everything okay?" Willow asked as she joined us moving to Tara's side.

"I don't know. What do you mean that I'm aware of?" I quizzed my troubled friend.

"You're constantly using magic whether you realise it or not! You read everyone's auras constantly, you use your dreams to look into the future  and the worst thing is you don't even realise it!" Tara stressed whilst I looked at her with my mouth slightly agape.

"Y/n, we say we've been in magic longer than you because we've been reading up on spells, potions and practices longer than you and we learnt how to use them; you've been using it your entire life and just didn't know." Willow attempted to calmly explain.

"I honestly would think you were trying to scare me out of learning how to do it and advance in it if it weren't for..."

"Our aura's." Tara sighed sadly.

"Can ya'll tell me about Spike though, I dreamt about him last night, met him tonight and yes you just said that I apparently use my dreams to look into the future subconsciously but why do I feel such a strong connection to him. He's a stranger essentially but it's like I've known him my entire life!" I asked in a harsher tone than necessary but it slipped out amongst the stress.

"That's because it's like a soul connection I mean he doesn't have his presently but he is technically able to get it back." Willow answered.

"'Soul connection' as in he's my soulmate or something?" I laughed dismissively.

"Yes that's exactly what we mean." Tara stated seriously.

I stopped my laughter and looked blankly at my friends. Soulmates are real? Well I guess at this rate everything else is real so why not soulmates right?

"Okay, Spike's my soulmate. My soulmate was born in 1853! How the fuck does that work?" I stressed noticing that I'd raised my voice I instinctively covered my mouth hoping that no one else heard me from upstairs or even worse the basement.

"Well most people spend their entire existence never encountering their soulmate so it isn't unheard of." Tara explains calmly her aura shifting to a relaxed one.

"Okay, well this is certainly a lot to take in on one night so I'm going to wish good night and think things over."

Tara and Willow left me alone in the living room as I made the couch as cosy as I could before going to the basement door. Cautiously I opened it and headed down into the dimly lit room seeing Spike sat up on some cheap 'bed like' thing. Upon hearing my footsteps Spike looked up in my direction before putting weak smile on his face.

"You alright pet, you seem out of it?" Spike asked as he got up to meet me halfway.

"Um...Yeah sorry just had a lot to take in." I smiled up at him in efforts to reassure him.

It was obvious he wanted to ask more about it but he decided not to push it.

"Your sister's excellent at hospitality she has my congratulations." He said to fill the silence.

"Oh well if you really like it down here than I'll leave you be and postpone my offer." I say teasingly as I turn to leave. "I'm sure being locked up in a basement is every guests desire."

"Hold on, two things first thing the basement isn't so bad if there's good company," He said as he held my hand before continuing, "the second if you can give me a better offer then I might be persuaded."

"I made up the sofa upstairs if you want to rest up there instead."

With that Spike took off upstairs keeping my smaller hand enclosed in his larger one bringing me with him.

"That does look like a nicer place to stay, do I get your company?" Spike joked flirtatiously as he kissed the back of my hand.

"Sadly not kind sir you see I have a much better offer upstairs, my comfortable perfect bed calls to me and requires me to unite with it once again." I joke floating my words dramatically like someone from a Shakespearean play.

"Until next time then love." Spike continued before I left him alone in the living room and went upstairs to bed.

A/N Yay another update congratulations if you're reading this it means you are very patient people and I love ya'll for it. I'm sorry if I combined British terminology with it but I am from the UK and it can be hard sometimes I tried to stick to Americanisms but I'm sorry if I strayed from that anyway I'd like to say I did slightly alter all of the other chapters nothing extreme though I also noticed I'd already written about Buffy and Y/n's presents to Dawn so I removed that so now hopefully it flows better.

LOVE YA'LL!!!
