Spike x Reader The Other Summers'

Knowing Him

"So... do I  want to even ask about you and Buffy?" I asked hesitantly looking up at him.

"Well it isn't a great story but if you want to know then I'll tell you." Spike answered honestly.

I glance over to Buffy on the other side of the room talking to Tara and Dawn. The concept of my sister having sex with the vamp that stood before me was still a gross, revolting one. I mean it's fine sleep with who you like just I don't want to know. I came to a decision and shook my head. There was an awkward silence between us for a moment.

"How'd you get Dawn to have a crush on you?" I asked as we walked into the kitchen away from everyone else to get a drink.

"I honestly don't know, I think she just appreciated that I didn't treat her like a child or shield her from everything like the Scoobies used to."

"So you weren't dashingly charming and went out of your way to corrupt my little sister? That's good to hear. So why are you on team good?"

Spike smirked and dismissively shook is head.

"I can't hurt you humans but, I can hurt all the other big bads out there."

"Wow you are seriously whipped." Spike looked up from his beer and glared at me. " No offence! You're just nothing like the vamp I researched all those years ago."

"The rest of your little friends in there would say how much better that is yet you, you seem so disappointed." He took a step closer to me caging me against the corner of the counter top.

I took a swig from my bottle before putting on innocent eyes whilst, ignoring my rapidly beating heart.

"You were legendary, the concept of meeting you was so thrilling but now reality kinda destroyed that." I smirk knowing full well he was about snap to prove me wrong.

Spike slammed his hands on the counter top harshly before leaning down closer to me. Despite me expecting it, it still startled me but I couldn't fight the grin on my face.

"Seems like despite everything I can still startle you pet." A wicked smirk was on his face whilst his eyes were dark and oozed smugness.

"I guess you can but, you're not physically able to hurt me are you?" I respond inching my face closer to his.

"Hey we heard a- you've got to be kidding me! Do you have a goal to get all the Summers'?" Xander interrogated as Willow glared at Spike.

"Oh yeah blame me because I'm the big scary vampire." Spike mocked, "I'll have you know she started it."

"Started what? We were just talking." I smiled innocently at the intruders.

Willow was skeptical about the scene before her, if anyone was going to catch on to anything to do with me it would be Willow and maybe Tara. Xander began to glare at Spike after noticing he still had me caged in the corner however, neither of us made any attempt to move out of the position.

"Will, I know you can hear me please just leave. I promise I'll explain everything to you later and maybe you could help answer my questions but just for now can you guys leave and prevent Xander saying anything to anyone!" I pleaded.

A moment later her face became neutral.

"Fine but we need to to talk about everything as soon as possible."

C'mon Xander, Dawnie can't have all her guests staying away from her can she?"

"Yeah but-"

"Xander!" He sighed and gave in following after Willow but not before giving Spike a final glare.

"So we were just talking were we? Your heart rate would've begged to differ." Spike said facing me again.

I traced a finger over his chest.

"All that happened was you startled me Mister Bloody in attempt to prove you aren't a harmless puppy." I responded dismissing the previous situation.

Spike rolled his eyes before leaning in close to my face so that our noses rested against each other.

"So tell me, why can I hear your heart racing?" Spike whispered, "You want me to get closer, you desire it." 

A could feel my cheeks heat up a bit and my breathing hitched. He was right and I desperately wanted to give in to him but I knew I couldn't I had to fight it! For now at least!

So I don't know if anyone is still interested in this or not because my goodness it has been quite some time but now in lockdown I have time on my hands so I should be updating it more soon so thank you for reading!!! 

P.S I didn't know what to call this chapter so yeah we got a random af title lol
