Nessie's POV I looked around in awe before I was approached by two people. One is a 5'11 middle-aged man from the waist up, with thinning brown hair, bushy eyebrows, intense brown eyes and a scruffy beard grown longer in the winter he was also in a wheelchair. The other is a 5'3 girl with a hard pug-like face with a pin straight dark bob cut and ice green eyes with pale skin wearing a navy blue school uniform.
"Ms. Swan I presume?" The kind man asked, I turned around and beamed before saying "Yep! That's me!" In a cheerful voice making the man smile "Welcome to Cambridge then. I'm the principal, Chiron Horseman, and this is Pansy Parkinson, the head girl of the dormitories" I nodded and extended my hand as I said "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I'm Vanessa Swan, but you can call me Nessie" Pansy let out a snicker earning a stony look from Mr. Horseman which immediately silenced her.
He turned back to me and reached out to shake my hand "The pleasure is all ours. We were ecstatic to get an American in our school. We don't have many people from the other side of the world attending our school" he explained before turning and wheeling himself inside "Come along then, let's get you settled in" I grabbed my suitcases and quickly followed after him.
Pansy followed behind me and kept looking me up and down before saying "Aren't Americans supposed to be obnoxious, loud, and fat?" This earned a scathing look from Mr. Horsemen "Ms. Parkinson..." he warned. I turned to her and 'innocently' asked "Aren't Brits supposed to be overly polite tea-drinkers with bad teeth and crappy food?" Pansy scowled at me and Mr. Horseman snickered before we both entered the building.
Pansy haughtily followed.
I was shown around the school. The front office, the principal/vice principal's offices, the nurse's office, the gardens, a few classrooms including the gymnasium, the cafeteria, and finally the girls dormitories. They explained the rules to me regarding the dormitories.
1. No boys allowed on the girls side and vice versa 2. No parties 3. No alcohol or drugs on campus 4. No hogging the common bathrooms And 5. Lights out at 11'clock
I nodded at all the rules and agreed to them. I was then led to my dormitory. Mr. Horseman opened the door and led me inside.
