Nessie's POV After my classes I went back to my dorm room alone, and changed into comfy clothes.

I huffed as I flopped down on the bed. 'I'm pretty sure that I scared off my dorm mate. She just seemed so annoyed with me' I thought as I sulked. I don't know why it bugged me so much, but I really wanted her to like me. I pouted for a few more minutes until there was a knock on the door.
I sluggishly got up and walked over to it and answered it figuring that it was Hermione who came to ask me about my first day, but I was startled to find an adult man who I didn't recognize standing in front of me.
He was a thin man with sallow skin, a large, hooked nose, and yellow, uneven teeth. He has shoulder-length, greasy black hair which frames his face, and cold, black eyes. He wears formal attire and seems to know who I am as he smiles and looks over my form in a way that makes me uncomfortable.
"Good afternoon, Miss Vanessa, I'm Mr. Snape, the school counselor? I was just dropping by to see how your first day was" he said. I shifted from foot to foot and tried to hide behind the door and away from his gaze "It was fine" I mumbled making him nod "Good, good. If you need anything" he then placed his hand on my shoulder and stared directly at my chest making me even more uncomfortable "Then my office is next to the assistant principal's" I nodded and said "Thank you sir."
I honestly just wanted this conversation to be over and for him to go away. He smiled at me and said "Alright then" he finally walked away and I quickly shut and locked the door. 'Was that all in my head? Did he really just check me out?' I shook my head and started on my homework.
When I was halfway done, there was another knock at my door. I froze and hesitated before gulping "Who is it?" I called out warily as I dreaded that Mr. Snape came back. Thankfully a feminine voice called out "It's Hermione, Ginny, and Luna!" I let out a sigh of relief before quickly answering the door. I welcomed the girls into my dorm and sat down on the bed "How was your first day?" Hermione asked from her seat at my desk.
Luna then dazily asked "Did ya meet anyone?" I shrugged and told them about it. When I got to the part about Cerise Hermione shrugged it off "Cerise is antisocial and a bit of a bad girl. She's just got a lot of responsibilities at home and she doesn't like people in general" "That's not to say that she's mean!" Ginny put in making Hermione nod "She's nice and polite, but she's very......... eccentric and an acquired taste" I nodded understandingly.
"Plus she hates the councilors here, says their all dumbass perverts with no lives" Luna says as she fiddles with the pens on Cerise desk "Don't get her started on Astoria and her gang, Cerise absolutely despises her" making Hermione and Ginny nod. I frowned and said "One of the counselors came by today, Mr. Snape? He kinda gave me the creeps" all the girls suddenly looked pale and grave.
"Nessie...listen, stay away from the councilors, okay?" Hermione said making me look at her in confusion "Why?" Ginny spoke up and said "While they haven't done anything bad, they're still very creepy and make all the students uncomfortable" "They get off on power and misogynistic behavior. Mr. Quirell is the worst though, a real wolf in sheep's clothing" Luna added making me swallow nervously 'What did I get into?'
