"It can't be..! You're kidding me...!"

Monika gently rubbed Grisha's back as the male cried after learning the truth of his sister's death.

Monika frowned at the gruesome death of Faye, she may not be able to meet the girl personally but Grisha told her so much about her that she wished she could've met her.

I mean, getting eaten alive by wild dogs? That's fucked up. Too fucked up. That just made her realize how crazy the world she just rebirth in.

That's also why Monika will try her best to keep Grisha out of trouble, she doesn't want her only family to die.

After a few minutes, Grisha raised his head and looked at Grice as his eyes narrowed.

"I'll join..." Grisha spoke up, making others widen their eyes as the others slightly smiled.

"I'll show them... I'll show them who the real devil is...!"

Monika watched them guide Grisha with wide eyes, giving him a dagger to place a mark that he will be joining them.

The male cheered on Grisha as he used the dagger they gave him to make a cross scar on his left chest, tears streamed down in his eyes as anger showed his orbs.

They allowed Monika to be with them because of Grisha's condition with them that if he joined, Monika would have to be with him.

They also told Monika to not tell anyone a single soul about their group, which she agreed into.

Weeks passed as it turned into months, Monika started to feel comfortable around the group and glad that none of them are complete perverts and respects women.

She also recently turned nine, making her sigh and internally complaining how the world is so slow.

As those weeks passed, they also told them about the informants in the Marley government that helps them.

They called them the "Owl" and the "Moth".

The two informants led the Restorationists without ever showing themselves. They also send the group weapons, money, and historical literature that Eldians now had no way of knowing about.

Monika is interested about the history of both Eldians and Marleyans as she does not know that much of it, so she volunteered to help with understanding the given historical book and scroll by their informants.

Grisha gave her the book after he examined it and decided to check the scroll with illustrations in them. Monika squinted her eyes on the writing on the of the book as it looked gibberish to her.

Letting out a small groan, she turned the book upside down as the other men surrounded Grisha, commenting their thoughts about the illustration in the scroll.

Monika blinked and looked at the written texts better as it looked familiar. She grabbed an extra paper and a pen, she placed the book on the table and copied the upside down texts.

After writing them, Monika examined the text for a good few minutes and wrote it again but a little more different. She wrote it a bit more clearer, noticing that it was a bit altered.

Her eyes widened and grabbed the paper, pulling it closer to her.

It was Katakana. She also noticed that it was read right to left unlike how she usually read back then, which was left to right.

"Damn this creator... My head hurts from translating this thing..." Monika thought to herself and sighed.

She wrote down the rest that she thinks are keywords and sentences and slowly cleared up the rest, reading the whole thing.
