The day after was sunday. Dungeons were under the lake's surface but I still complained about the light that shined through the water.

"Someone close the curtains, damn it !" I whined.

I heard someone giggled slightly. Someone not being one of my roomates.

So I opened an eye...
Something white was around me. I rubbed my eyes and watched better.

White roses had grown all around my canopy bed. It's smell a slight parfum that made me in a good mood.
No one was in the room nor in beds... but Draco was standing there.

"Happy birthday." he said with a soft voice.

"That's beautiful."

"Herbivicus charm."

"You woke up early to do that ?" I asked.

"It's not early, it's 2pm. Poppy let me in when they all went outside."

"It's afternoon ?! I didn't hear anything."

"You must have been tired."

He seated on a corner of the sheets and placed a flat leather box on my bed.

I seated more properly. I was glad to see that I was still wearing my black dress, being in pyjamas would have been a bit childish.

"That's a little something that I though would suit you..." he explained.

When I opened the box, I saw a marvelous necklace made of a green gem held by a snake.

"It's an emerald..." he noted.

"And runes on the snake's skin." I delighted. "That's beautiful !"

I stood up and reunited my hair up so he could hang the jewel around my neck.

"You put it on me ?" I requested.

He came on my back side, placed it and I felt immediately strange, kind of... awaken.

"Some girls look good with diamond, but few make the diamond looks good." He said.

I turned back and rolled my arms around his neck. But he suddenly put his hands on my shoulders to hold me back.

"Your eyes ! What do you have ?"

I took a step to the mirror. In the reflection my eyes were like snake's. I blinked but it didn't pass. I blinked again, and again, it stayed reptile's.

"What's wrong with me ?" I stressed.

"Take it off, the necklace must be cursed. I'm so sorry !" Draco was stressed too.

He clicked it open and took it back.
It made me feel suddenly low.

"Wait, give it to me..."

I pushed the jewel against my chest and felt energized again.

He frowned.

"You can't wear it. I'll exchange it for something else as soon as I could."

"Don't ! It's perfect !
...I can still wear it at night, when my eyes are closed. So no one could see the curse."

"It's strange that it didn't affect me... Maybe we should ask to some teacher for examinations."

I agreed without much conviction.

"Sure..."

I looked at the jewel in my hand and smiled softly. Draco was the perfect lover to me. But I wasn't sure that he new how much I adored him.
I got closer to him, my arms around his waist and whispered.
