After the yule ball and holidays, new couples and gossips emerged. So when Valentine's day approached, students where in frenzy. Young lovers and also single people created all sorts of decorations like garlands of hearts and cupid made of paper to pin them on corridors archs. The folly lasted a full week. I hated this celebration before and having a boyfriend didn't change my opinion.

Between two classes, we witnessed in the middle of the corridor a guy asking a girl out by singing, accompanied by his friends from the school's orchestra. They made a show in the hallway, the music echoed loudly as well as the girl's squeaky cry of joy.
I fund this embarrassing for themselves and wished to never look like them.
I turned my attention to my boyfriend, who was with his two goons, as usual, but I didn't care to ask :

"Tell me we won't celebrate February 14th." I worried. "That's so silly ! I'd rather be eaten by a troll than to become this kind of couple."

He was a bit surprised of my pressing issues.

"Alright. That's fine to me, I couldn't picture myself celebrating that anyway"

He talked in a flat disdain tone because his friends were making disruptive presence.

"Good." I sighed.

"But don't complain afterwards !" He warned with a sided grin.

"Not my style." I smiled.

"Perfect."

At junction, I stopped before they turned.

"I'm going this way for Runes class." I pointed to my right side.

"See you later."

I made a knowing smile and we separated.
The three of them went to the other way and I heard Goyle questioning :

"What's on February 14th ?"

Valentine-day was on a Monday, so it went as any other class day.

But something special still came out that afternoon. Draco accepted to organise nothing but his parents didn't. They must reckon with lover's celebration because I received an owl from them.

Malfoy family's owl came to find me when I was going to Hagrid's lesson with Beauxbatons pals. I could recognise it from any other bird with its menacing appearance. It was grey and white and had a round face that made it looked like a skull head. It dropped an envelope from above my head, I had to catch it in the air and it flew back to the Owlery.

It was really odd that I got something from Malfoy's family without Draco being informed.
Really, the mail was addressed to me only : To Miss Isabella Green, Slytherin house, Hogwarts School of Whitchcraft and Wizardry.

Waiting would have made an untenable suspens so I just tore up the black seal and read the message in my head.

"Dear Isabella Green,
He hope that this letter find you well.
We are informed that our son Draco got attached to you and that he gained your favor for the Yule ball. On our side, it is our great regret that we didn't had chance yet to know you better. Therefore, we would be pleased to have you for diner at our place during next holidays.
Kind regards.
Study well.

Mrs & Mr Malfoy."

Inevitably, I got stressed. Of corse the Malfoys wanted to meet me now. They wouldn't let their only child to get close to a stranger. This meeting would be a real test, with no doubt. First of all I needed to tell Draco.

I met him on evening, to talk in peace. I knocked at his shared bedroom and opened after I got an answer.

"Come in ?" Said Blaise inside.
