TW: Mention of Selfharm

Newt and I avoided eachother all day. Whether one of us walked into the same area, and the other just simply walked out, or likewise. People started to notice our sudden change in mood, others had heard us screaming at eachother the previous night. Fry noticed my puffy eyes and heartbroken appearance, and asked what was wrong.
I told him, he couldn't believe it. "Damn, I was sure you two were perfect for eachother. I even said it to Winston, I said those two will be together forever you watch. Now I owe him money, don't you tell him about it."

"You bet on mine and Newts relationship?" I asked, not sure whether to laugh or cry.

"Yeah, he bet you wouldn't last a year, I was convinced you'd last longer. Hard luck." He explained shrugging as he pulled a loaf of bread out of the oven. "You break up with Newt? Seems so, I never saw a sadder looking puppy."

"No, Fry, he broke up with me." I said, slightly surprised at this assumption.

"Really? Dang I would have thought the other way around, you look more put together than him, but maybe you're just a boss and that's why."

"You already know." I managed a half smile, keeping to myself that I'd shifted back to my CR the morning before, and had had time to sort myself out. But seeing Newt again, seemed to bring that all to a tumbling crash.

"I'm sorry girl, you want me to give him overcooked food?" He suggested with a smile, despite knowing he was joking I shook my head.
"He still has to eat, though it's tempting."

Fry chuckled, Emily came into the room, peering around in the steam for me. "Tulip, it's Gally. Clint and Jeff think he'd be better if you were there, they can't get him calmed down."

Giving Frypan a worried glance, I dropped the spatula I was holding and ran out the door, accidentally knocking into her and shouting an apology back.

I raced into the room to see Gally writhing around in the bed, his arms being held down by Clint and Jeff, Newt trying his best to hold down his legs. He screamed, purple and red veins visible all over his body, pushed to the surface to his skin.

I rushed over to help Newt hold his other leg down without even thinking about it, Gally kept screaming. But as his eyes fell on me, he began to calm down, his screams lessened and he seemed to become more, humane. He panted as sweat ran down his forehead, staring at me with a confused expression on his face. "Why not you?" He whispered, before falling back into a deep sleep.

Clint and Jeff were both panting, Newt just looked up at me, letting go of his leg. "What did he mean by that?"

"Don't know," Jeff answered, although I think Newt was hoping me to answer. I shrugged and looked away, hardly able to look at him without feeling the deep pain in my chest.

"We think we've figured out what's causing all this distress though." Clint stated, standing up straight again as I collapsed into a nearby chair.

"The Changing gives you back your memories right?" Jeff started, waiting for us to show we understood. We both nodded and hummed a 'yes', we knew that was true as it had given Alby back his. "Well then, he must be going through a process of remembering his past. And the shit stuff is making him go all crazy."

"Makes sense." I shrugged, Newt nodded too.

"So what now?" He asked, looking between the both of them.

"Now we do what we did with Alby. We wait." Clint said, looking over his shoulder at the bedbound boy.

"Cant you give him anything?! It seems painful," I suggested, running a hand through my hair. I hated seeing him like this more than anything.
