Ch.2: Arrival

African Branch Sanctum (Morning)

Thorn and the rest were geared up and Prince was standing before them explaining how things will go from here.

"Alright people." Prince started explaining. "The portal will open right next to me in a minute. When you go through it a person will transport you into the mine, and don't worry he is a worker so it's someone that you could trust."

A portal appeared next to Prince.

"Well that's your cue."

"Come on, let's go! Oh damn I am so excited! My first mission!"

"James calm down jeez, show some professionality." Yorick sighed.

"Now I wish you all luck."

Thorn walked over to Prince.

"Thanks Prince." Thorn gave him a handshake. "Okay everyone, time to head out."

The rest gave a smile or a nod, except Leon he seemed to be grumpy.

They head inside the portal and on the other side they are met with a vast amount of nature around them. They were standing on a dirt road as a man seemed to call for them from a distance.

"Paladins, over here!"

"Seems our ride was already here huh." Eve commented.

All of them went over to him, next to this man there was a huge black Hummer, he introduced himself.

"Seems that you finally arrived. I was waiting for a bit, nonetheless let me introduce myself. I am Ahadi Jefferson and I am your personal driver for today so everyone, get inside the car as it's going to be a long drive."

"Welp, I am taking the front seat!"

James rushed to the front of the car.

Eve seemed to get angry.

"Hey I wanted to sit there!"

"Pfft what are you two, little kids?"

"Shut it Leon, as if I will let that snot take my place!"

"Well you're kinda too late on that haha."

"What Fletcher said, get rekt Eve." James pulled down the window and showed Eve a L sign with his hand.

"That gremlin!"

"Alright enough stupidity, let's just get into the car." Yorick sighed.

Sera laughed as this all went down, everyone got into the car except Thorn. Sera noticed it.

"Earth to Thorn what are you spacing out for? Get in here!"

"Oh... uh sorry Sera I seem to be lost in my thoughts for a second."

"No worries can happen from time to time, will you sit next to me, I am sure we will have lots to talk about." Sera smiled.

"Sure!"

Sometimes I seem to be out of it.

That is not a bad thing Thorn, but you need to figure out what it is. I have a feeling you are being distant with your teammates.

When Thorn finally got in the car along with Sera they finally started driving. All of the Paladins introduced themselves to Ahadi, where after 15 min being on road James being the curious one, asked a question.
