Sirena and Coralia took their purses with the pearls that they had collected and swam as fast as they could to Mr. Gar's home. Mr. Gar was a merman with a lot of knowledge about the magic world. He owned hundreds of books about magic and he was the only merman who could do magic spells. He was beginning to grow old but his mind was still clear as crystal.

Sirena and Coralia tried to get to him before the pain and reddness would be completely gone. It still hurt in Sirena's arm but the reddness was faiding fast. Luckily the place where they collected pearls wasn't too far away from Mr. Gar since he lived a little bit outside the town.

When Coralia knocked on the door to Mr. Gar's house it didn't take long before he opened. Mermaids and mermans went to him with their problems. Both small and big problems. Mr. Gar was very wise and he was a trusted and respected man in Neverland. He was also known outside Neverland and sometimes people came from far to visit him.

Today didn't seem to be a very busy day for Mr. Gar since he opened so quickly. He looked a little surprised at the sight of the princess and her friend. He immidiately bowed deeply and said "What an honour it is for me to get a visit from the princess and her highness' friend. Please, step inside".

Sirena always got a little embarrassed when she was greeted like this. She never really knew what to do with herself. "Good afternoon Mr. Gar." she just said. Coralia just gave a little wave and said "Hello Mr. Gar. " Coralia had gotten used to being friends with a princess and all what it meant long ago. She found it pretty amusing when people said hello to her like this.

"And what brings me the pleasure of seing the princess here?" Mr. Gar asked while they swam inside the big library. Everyone called Sirena princess except Coralia and her family. "I'm feeling a quite strange pain in my arm, and  there is also a shade of red on the area where it's hurting. Here." Sirena held out her arm to show him. Mr. Gar furrowed his eyebrows and stared at Sirena's arm. "So did this just come out of no where or did someting happen?"

"It just appeared out of no where like a sudden pain." Sirena said. Mr. Gar was deep in thought for a moment and went over to a bookshelf.  He took out an old looking book. "You have a sister right?" Sirena was totally startled. No one ever mentioned or talked about her long sister.  It was like an unspoken rule.

Coralia gasped. She knew that Sirena's sister was a very touchy subject. "Yes I do" Sirena said with a shaky voice. "Could it be...?" Mr. Gar mumbled as he opened the old book. He flipped through the pages for a while until he finally stopped. He read the page he'd opened and Sirena and Coralia stood side by side almost breathless waiting for some kind of answer. Mr. Gar lifted his head and gave Sirena a long look. "This is a very rare case. You and your sister have a very special bond."

Sirena felt her head spinning. Did this mean that her sister really was alive? "What?" was the only thing she could get out of her mouth. "This means that your sister is alive. We don't know where she is, all we know is that she is hurt"

If this ment was Sirena thought it ment, she was absolutely speachless. She immediately got that burning twisting feeling of worry in her stomach for her sister that she only let herself have when she was alone at night in her room. All her life she had never let go of the hope that her sister was still alive and now that it was confirmed that she was in fact alive, tears started streaming down her face. She was thrilled of the news but at the same time it was hard to feel completely happy when she knew that she was in danger. Million questions flew around in her head.

Coralia hugged Sirena when she saw the tears on Sirena's face. "Hey, it's gonna be alright ,okay?" Coralia said. All Sirena could do was to nod. Mr. Gar gave them a worried look.  Finally when Sirena had calmed down, she managed to ask "So what exactly does this connection mean?" "It means that you can feel each other's physical pain and can sense when one of you are in danger." Mr. Gar answered. "But we haven't seen each other for years! How can we have this connection? And why is this the first time I feel it?" "It's very hard to say. I think the universe thinks it's time for you to find each other." Mr. Gar said mysteriously with a little smile.

Sirena felt overwhelmed. She couldn't get what Mr. Gar just had said out of her head. It played in her head over and over again. It felt like her heart was filling up with new glowing hope. Coralia had a big smile on her face. "I can't wait to meet her" Coralia said excited. All Sirena did was laugh.

When they had thanked Mr. Gar and Sirena was back in her room in the castle, she just had to sit on her bed a while and think. She had no idea how she would tell her parents, she knew that this would make everyone freak out and the whole kingdom would be buzzing with the news. It was not only Sirena and her family who missed the long lost princess,  so did the whole kingdom.

Sirena collected herself when her maid knocked on the door. "Princess, dinner is ready" the maid who's name was Beatrice said through the door. "Coming!" Sirena simply yelled back. She took one last deep breath and prepared herself for the news that she had to deliver.

Sirena decided to wait after they've finnished eating the main course.

"Sirena dear, you seem to be so quiet today" her mum named Diana said after a while of eating.

"Um I- um, have something to tell you" Sirena slowly said. Her father who's name was Neres raised his eyebrows. "Is this about a boy perhaps?" he asked with a wink. "No dad, it's nothing like that" Sirena said embarresed.

God she hated when her dad couldn't shut up about her getting a boyfriend. Since her lost sister was older, she was the crown princess and was supposed to take the crown after their father. But if she was never found, Sirena was going to be the one taking over the throne. She hoped that this wouldn't be the case.

"Then what is it dear?" Diana said concerned.

And then Sirena told the whole story from that day beginning from the pain she had felt in her arm. She was afraid to look her parents in the eyes because she had no idea how they would react. When she was finished and took the courage to look her mother in the eyes, tears were streaming down her face. When she looked at her father he stared unseeing in front of him. He seemed to be in some kind of shock. Sirena had a lump in her throat.

"Mum? Dad? Are you okay?" Sirena carefully asked. Diana took a deep breath and Neres blinked a few times. "I can't believe our daughter is alive"
